How to wire a DC breaker?

Thanks a ton. I think I'll return the other 2 I already got, and switch to those non-polarized.

How to wire a DC breaker?

@Hedges, one last thing, just to confirm, there shouldn't be a problem with putting power through the breaker to the battery from the SCC/DC-DC charger/etc? As long as I arrange the battery in the input side of the breaker, correct? Just super paranoid about this. Or would this non-polarized...

How to wire a DC breaker?

You're probably accurate, but that's what the 80a Class-T fuse is for. Hopefully the breaker would trip first, but the 20k AIC at up to 125V DC.

How to wire a DC breaker?

@Hedges Thanks for all the recommendations. This is for a small trailer battery/solar setup. 1 (32a) between the ground-mount solar (for long duration, 2 old house panels, ~52v Vcc, 215W nominal, 2 total, either parallel or serial, not sure yet) through a Victron 150/45 MPPT. For shorter term...

How to wire a DC breaker?

What I was having trouble realizing, for a bit, was that it was really "straight through" on either side, I saw pictures with - + and then + - on the bottom, which was confusing to me. The breakers are just like pretty much all the rest of the pictures I've seen here,

How to wire a DC breaker?

Finally, the light bulb goes on! Thanks! Hm.. That's a fair point. Probably would only ever be me, and I do have a higher rated Class-T fuse for at the battery as a juuuust in case. But I'll have to think about it more, you make a good point.

How to wire a DC breaker?

Hope it's OK to resurrect this thread, I'm also facing a bit of confusion with these DC circuit breakers. They're basically straight-through if I consider it to be a "straight through" continuous wire for pos/neg to from the Source (higher potential) to the Load (lower potential). So assuming...

Dc to Dc w/ Curt Echo

I presume you're talking about a tow trailer? AFAIK you need to have the 7-pin tow connector WITH the AUX connected to allow for the extra 12v from the TV to the trailer. I would get a DC-DC isolating charger, and most new vehicles have something called a smart alternator (new term to me), so a...

Travel trailer (caravan) with solar and charging while towing

So I'm reasonably familiar with solar, used a couple of old house solar panels with Renology 40a MPPT and some SLA previously, with breakers/etc and everything was great. Now I have a small travel trailer! I'm going to do a ground-mount telescoping frame for flexible solar panels, 2x100W or...
