The EG4 3000 EHV-48 has a minimum PV input voltage of 120VDC. If your Solar array does not meet this minimum requirement then it would not be an acceptable input for this inverter unfortunately.

Yes, the EG4 18kpv can be used with batteries that have no communication. On the inverter you would set the battery type to Lead-Acid and manually input the batteries charging/discharging parameters.
