    Solar Assistant - data logger

With regard to the "grid", are you saying (were you saying) that your system would ONLY use power from the grid? Even if the batteries were charged and attached and 'ready to go?'

Home Assistant - Solar Monitoring and Management

I guess Solar Assistant's pay controller rejected my card?! :o Why they no want my money?

Home Assistant - Solar Monitoring and Management

I'd like to have ability to view performance / charts of my system to monitor how it's going and what it's producing, etc. - but I'd prefer not to HAVE to have internet access required for it to work. i.e. What about when my (the) internet is down? Does Solar Assistant require internet access...

Monitoring software for Growatt-MPP Solar inverters

I wonder if this "PV Keeper 2.0" will work with the MPPsolar LV2424-MSD units. The LV2424-MSD is pretty similar to the Growatt. But of course, subtle differences and chips on the main board within might make the PV Keeper 2.0 not compatible with the MPPsolar unit. What do y'all think / know...

Monitoring software for Growatt-MPP Solar inverters

This was on an MPP Solar unit? Or Growatt?

Monitoring software for Growatt-MPP Solar inverters

pbuck00, Do you have your LV2424-MSD being monitored and "reported on" by way of the USB cable plugged into the bottom of the LV2424 and run to your Windows computer? I have that physical setup, and I also have WatchPower but it's not keeping historic data - just showing me current realtime...

MPP Solar All in one remote monitoring

How did you get your monitoring software (WatchPower? shown here?) to collect data over time and then to show information in graph form? I can only see realtime and when I open up the data/chart tab - nothin.

Protecting AGM batteries with PWM charge controller via Low Voltage Cutoff?

Hmmm. There's the "load ports" for the lights that came with the unit. These two lights are LED bulbs on a 12'± cord that plug directly into the SCC. This is the light that flashes when the battery get's low. There's also a + and - connection for loads on the SCC. I don't use that; but when...

Protecting AGM batteries with PWM charge controller via Low Voltage Cutoff?

Hello, one of my first forays into solar was a Harbor Freight 100w "Thunder-something" pack w/ PWM charge controller. Since then I've introduced a proper solar system with Rich Solar 100w panels, an MPP Solar 24v CC & inverter combo unit and a 92ah LiFePO4 24v battery. My question, though, is...

    Rich Solar panels..?

I bought the 2424-MSD, so it'll be no problem! :D

    Rich Solar panels..?

I think I understand where you're coming from... I shan't hook up 7 or 8, or even 6 panels in a single string in series because, yes, that could or would exceed my voltage "intake" that the charge controller can handle. But I could have two series strings operating at 88v each then tied...

    Rich Solar panels..?

Hedges, Thanks for responding. The percentages of shade on the various modules (panels) varies from time to time and throughout the day. Sometimes a single panel can experience up to 25% shading if a big branch is in the way at that time. These panels DO feature diode-bypass which can only...

    Rich Solar panels..?

I switched to all four panels being in one single series and it improved performance a LOT! Even though the panels are in the same temporary place, pointing in the same direction, right now. Voltage listed on the MPP Solar CC green readout screen gets up to the 70s. If I understand correctly...

    Rich Solar panels..?

So, I could (and should? ?) get some more panels in order to "max out" my voltage up closer to the 145 limit for the CC for best recharging/"maintenance of SOC" of my battery bank?

    Rich Solar panels..?

I'll try that! Not a problem, just need to switch around a few connections. I've got 8 gauge wires from the CC to the panels so that can handle high(er) amperages and/or higher voltages without any problem, for the length that I'm running.
