Connect the charge controller leads to batteries or inverter??

Yessir, I agree. But it is obvious that when I intentionally create a load / drain the batteries the charge controller jumps from 50 to 60 watts up to 580W or 700W. So since the RV is sitting there in partial sunshine, the charge controller has available PV watts and is providing what is...

Connect the charge controller leads to batteries or inverter??

Snoobler is essentially right. However, I have observed that the Victron MPPT reads just the amount of watts that it is putting into the batteries and not the amount of watts being produced by the solar array. I will occasionally turn off the battery charger and slide the RV slide outs in and...

Connect the charge controller leads to batteries or inverter??

I was pondering if it would be better to connect the leads from the Victron MPPT charge controller to the input terminals of the Multiplus Instead of directly to the batteries? The question would the charge controller prove more power from the solar panels when a draw is occurring on the inverter?

    Batteries V Generator.

I live in town because I had to be on call 24/7 in my career before I retired. However, being an architecture major my house has natural gas heater, water heater, gas dryer, and I recommend a gas stove/oven. Also all of the light bulbs are LED. If you do these things you will greatly reduce your...

How to increase the wattage of my solar setup.

I just finished mounting 8 x 100 watt panels on the roof of my toyhauler. Although the system is working, I’m currently waiting on a Victron multiplus 12V/3000W/150A to arrive, in order to get back to work on the RV system.

How to increase the wattage of my solar setup.

Oops, I reviewed the Titan solar generator. Sounds like you should sell the 100 watt panels and buy all Renogy 160W’s

How to increase the wattage of my solar setup.

What if you used two charge controllers ? One for the 100watt panels and another for the 160 watt panels. ??

    Travel Trailer (1050w Solar, 3000w Inverter, 600ah LiFePO4)

By the way, now that I purchased the Renogy aluminum mounts and the Teflon corner brackets. I was wrong, they cannot be used together. The different style mounts are each a different height off the roof deck. I did use short thickness electrical unistrut and unistrut mounts with 1/4” machine...

    Travel Trailer (1050w Solar, 3000w Inverter, 600ah LiFePO4)

The 2 series brings the 100 watt 12 volt solar panels to 24 volts per pair. Consequently, VOLTS X AMPS = WATTS And wire size is determined by amps only. NOTE ; we are working on the solar panel side only. SO the formula notes that when you double the voltage, you cut the amperage in half. Thus...

RV inverters for 50 amp shore line trailers.

Jcain, l see you run Victron in a toyhauler...My current plan is to install a Victron Multiplus 12V / 3000W / 120-50 inverter charger. My RV has a 5K generator and 50 amp shore line. Factory installed is a 1000 W Magnum sine wave inverter with a Magnum 15A transfer switch. Also factory installed...

    Travel Trailer (1050w Solar, 3000w Inverter, 600ah LiFePO4)

Well, I assume you are asking jbelleti. From his excellent photos, it appears he used stainless steel brackets screwed into the roof and covered with Dicor self leveling sealant. An absolutely beautiful system. It also seems that excellence was the primary goal and cost wasn’t. “Do it once...
