My first foray into solar power is this little solar power pack (I can't abide the term "solar generator" for some reason). All I wanted was a simple project to put together a few of the pieces and see if I could charge phones off it. To that end, mission accomplished. I think I might be...
Much handier carrying case than the battery box that I put mine together with. Now that I've had mine for a couple weeks I'm finding it really needs a carry handle.
Yup, that's it. It's not just a battery but a portable power pack with an on/off and a couple power ports. I'd love to see @Will Prowse tear one down to see the quality of the cells and BMS.
Looks super clean and well designed/laid out. And those terminals on the Victron SCC are plenty sturdy. I wouldn't worry about them. Those are what most SCCs use these days.
Bingo! This is a (almost) full size ceiling fan for RVs. Don't know why this didn't popup in my previous searches. All I ever found were these dinky little things that just wouldn't work for my application.

Hey @50acres&acabin, it's great to see you here. Been following your cabin build for a while, since you started the solar project. I'm just getting started with the whole solar thing, planning to put a small system at my yurt that I finished this past winter. Using you and everyone here for...
Like I said, I trust the experts at Battle Born more than some of the advice I've gotten here. Now I'm regretting asking the question and using this forum. Shoulda known better.
Sweet idea, and it would work great for those sites where you're going to be camping in the sun. For us, that's about a 50/50 proposition. But if I went this route I think I'd make the frame out of aluminum to cut down on weight.
Bingo! I should have thought to check this. Thanks so much. Now 20 amp fuses are working just fine. Maybe a little undersized but better than going the other way.
Thanks everyone!
For those that have the Victron smart shunt, does that record the full discharge cycle on the Victron connect app, just like it does the charge cycles of the Blue Smart chargers?
If their support is really that bad then why would you want to buy it in the first place? Frankly, none of these pre-built units are going to perform very well for high power consumption needs. They're mostly built for short term low demand applications.
If you simply do the math on the output...
I saw a video by Wild Wonderful Off Grid on YT where the owner (a licensed electrician in the US) laid two ground rods horizontally in a trench. Can't put my finger on it right offhand but he mentioned that it complied with NEC requirements.
And from my limited experience, it seems like...
And just FYI, I don't keep the trailer at my home, so I can't just go take a bunch of pictures. It's 3 hours away so new photos are gonna have to wait. :)
Relion has what you want.

No, I'm not affiliated with Relion. Just happened to notice this the other day when I was browsing their site. And Will P himself points people to Relion for "specialty" LiFePo4 configurations.
Here are a few photos of the whiskey bottle 12 volt lights I made for our yurt.
You can see that the wall hanging version has a little wooden bracket that I made and the other just hangs off a hook on a roof rafter and a hook on the wire, which actually came with the wire/bulb socket. These...
The monitor does not show any discharge. This is how it looks today after recharging fully a couple days ago and after no use. This monitor has a charge/discharge indicator and it's not displaying discharge, with no load connected.
I just got a T@B teardrop trailer and it's got a pretty basic electrical system in it. The battery (12 volt deep cycle lead acid) wasn't holding a charge so I just replaced it with lead acid for now. Also added a battery disconnect and made sure all the connections on the positive and negative...
I've built my own little solar generator/storage system using a small Lion Energy LiFePo4 25Ah battery.
https://diysolarforum.com/threads/diy-solar-power-pack.8847/
There's a battery monitor installed that seems to be discharging my battery (the battery holds a charge when disconnected but...
Not sure how this might apply to your situation, but this is what the manual says about charge cycles.
Charge
• Total charge cycles: The number of charge cycles over the lifetime of the battery monitor. A charge cycle is counted every
time the state of charge drops below 65% and then rises...
For those that would like to read up on charging LIFePo batteries from the authorities at Battle Born, here are a couple links to their blog.

Fair enough, no I don't have experience with them (although I considered buying one at one time) and I have no idea how noisy it is. And it highly unlikely you're going to get support from someone other than the company that sells it. Best of luck.
