    Battery disconnect, pos or neg?

THanks, I was thinking, on my work on 12v vehicles, nothing shuts things down like a weak ground. Maybe ground disconnect is best.

    Battery disconnect, pos or neg?

I bought a battery disconnect switch, bright red with a on/off switch. I’ve seen them on solar set ups, on the red pos wire off the battery. The paperwork with the unit shows it on the neg wire side. Are both acceptable?

    Advice Beginners

Some might remember 4/22 I began to trash through details for my 24v 2000 watt system. I had an idea of a portable system that fell apart. Two 200 watt 24v panels do not move easily. I then tried to find a place in my home/property that would be close to areas where I would use the juice...

    24 volt system blueprints missing

Yes, that is attractive, what is an issue is I have a 220v down the well now, and not sure if this would be tight with the current wires and pump lines in the well. Is it easier or a pump to draw or pump out? I'm thnking the pump is outside the well with a line going down to the water. I've got...

    24 volt system blueprints missing

Diaphragm pump: Yes maybe, I just want a flow of water from 40 feet down. 24/12 volt: so the 24v pump would require a thinner wire, I'd be about 15 feet from the solar set up.

    24 volt system blueprints missing

Yes, I've seen them at New England solar. I'd like to drop a say ,1/2" line down the well and pump out whats needed, maybe 4 gallons a day, which would/could be supplemented with rain water catchment. I do tend to think small, I'm working with 24v, 2000watt, 100ah 24v batteries and 500 watts solar.

    24 volt system blueprints missing

Hi smoothyJoey, details: my solar system is portable, my well water starts at40 feet, and I’m wanting to have a way to extract some water in a grid down emergency. I’ve shyed away from trying 240v from a 24v 2000 watt system. Fran

    24 volt system blueprints missing

First I'm not looking for the 'all in one' blueprints, Rednecktec has sent me the one I'm using. When I say the "set up"I'm thinking I don't see them because they may be in the process of upgrading.

    24 volt system blueprints missing

Hi, one of my goals is a water pump to draw water from our well, I've heard a 24v pump is better. But I am set up with a step down to 12v system and little panel.

Thoughts on using a 24 volt to 12 volt step down converter for camper 12 volt system?

Thanks Mandy, I was just going to ask,” 24v or 12v water pump”. I’m assembling a 24v system, slowly.
