    SolarEdge void warranty?

If you look at the daily view of your panels via monitoring it will be black where the others are some shade of blue based on their production.

Does utility provider pay attention to production above PTO

I added 2.6 kw to my original 8.1 kw solaredge system back in March. My overall production has jumped but my peak never goes over the 7.6 kw inverter max. I have heard nothing yet. I too am concerned but willing to roll the dice since I have added a fair amount of demand.

Adding Panels to My Solaredge System

Ended up around 145 percent panelled. I get clipping most days from may to September. But the benefit on the less than ideal days is evident

    Upgrade SE7600 to SE10000

600 bucks buys me approx 2400 kwh. Trying to estimate what I am losing during the clipping period would let me get some idea of ROI. Also this mini project would scratch my battery bank/sol ark addition itch that will never give me an ROI.

    Upgrade SE7600 to SE10000

I recently added panels to the roof. Went from 8.2 kw to 10.2 kw. Using the SE7600, I ended up at near the over wattage level for the inverter. All is running well with a nice bump in production that helps offset the Plug in hybrid, heat pump heating and cooling, and Heat pump water heater...

    Heat Pump Water Heater Recommendation

I ran pvc down to the floor where a condensate pump is. Used tubing to go 20 feet along the basement joists to my washer standpipe. Works great with zero issues.

    SolarEdge void warranty?

Sorry they did. I have already done some diy on my system so I don't mind doing it. This optimizer will be a back up since I bought one already. I don't like the lag from putting in a claim to get the service tech out is the real issue.

    SolarEdge void warranty?

Hello all...Have a 8 year old solaredge system. I have had 2 optimizers fail. I did not bother trying to get a warranty on the first but tried to get one for the second one. Solaredge said I have to go through my installer. Installer said they have to install or it could void my warranties...

    Heat Pump Water Heater Recommendation

I have had the Rheem platinum HD sells. Been going strong for one year now. App is a bit wonky but I love it with my PV system. I have it cranked up as high as it goes (150F) and use a mixing valve as well as a recirc pump for instant hot water. I cannot use it from November to March because...

    Blown fuse in AC disconnect?

I appreciate all the different looks and thoughts. I did see that insulation peeling back. The layer underneath is still intact. Is this a real concern? Took some temps. Where blades meet at the top black was 160 f. Red was 158 f. The unfused leg was 116 f. Bottom of fues are the same...

    Blown fuse in AC disconnect?

Could the black conductor be moved to the left and the neutral/ground lug be moved? I really did not look to see if this is feasible or even correct? New disconnect seems most logical.

    Blown fuse in AC disconnect?

Ha... 2 cents? More like 200 bucks! That was thorough. I have a bad optimizer and the installer wants to send a guy there to replace it. I will have them check this out and see what they say. All Warning's will be needed!

    Blown fuse in AC disconnect?

So as you suspected. Oxidation and evidence or arching/heat damage on the black conductor. The fuse on the left was the bad one installed a week ago. Sandpapered what I could. Put a 50 amp time delay fuse. Will do some observing during peak time tomorrow and will take some temps with IR gun.

    Blown fuse in AC disconnect?

Yes it is in direct sun during peak hours. I did not see any oxidation but I will give them a shine before I add new ones. Thanks for the link and your additional info. Very helpful.

    Blown fuse in AC disconnect?

Ok so this is why I think I was confused. Solaredge 7600 inverter gets capped at 7600w. So either the optimizers or inverter limits down the current leaving the inverter towards the AC disconnect? So even though I am over paneled I thought the inverter would limit what makes it to the grid...
