I had to drill the holes out to work with strut nuts. It was kinda a pain to tighten the top bolt. Better way might be to use a smaller bolt & fab the nut. But, it’s not going anywhere.

David Poz did an experiment where he tested solar heating water vs heating water with the pv system. The conclusion is, heating water with pv is cheaper. Only situation where those solar hot water heaters are better. Is if you have limited space.
