I'm using a MEGA fuse from the battery terminal to the cable to a fuse box but what to change it to a MRBF fuse. Both the cable and battery terminal are M8, the MRBF fuse M8/M10. Can I use, or do I need, a rubber grommet or metal spacer to take up the slack between the battery terminal and fuse?

I'm looking to power a 12v LED light but want to make it portable. Could you put 10 AAA or AA rechargeable batteries (1.2v) in series to make a small 12V battery? What if you used alkaline (1.5v), would you only need 8?
