On my minivan I have two 100w panels, a Victron 75|15 MPPT controller, charging a 12v 100ah LFP battery. The system has worked great, last year I never needed shore power while running lights, fans, a TV, while charging phones, tablet, a laptop, an Ecoflow Delta Min and ebike batteries through...
I'm using a MEGA fuse from the battery terminal to the cable to a fuse box but what to change it to a MRBF fuse. Both the cable and battery terminal are M8, the MRBF fuse M8/M10. Can I use, or do I need, a rubber grommet or metal spacer to take up the slack between the battery terminal and fuse?
I'm looking to power a 12v LED light but want to make it portable.
Could you put 10 AAA or AA rechargeable batteries (1.2v) in series to make a small 12V battery? What if you used alkaline (1.5v), would you only need 8?
I haven't created my project yet but from what I understand, if the MTTP is charging at 15amps, but I'm using 40amps, net discharge would be 25amp on a 12 volt 100ah battery.
What about current through a wire and circuit breaker? Should I assume it's total, 55amps?
What results can I expect...
I started out with a Ecoflow Delta Mini with 160w portable panel and for the most part has suited me well. Powering a 12v car fridge, a few LED lights, small fan and charging a couple phones, and a tablet on a couple extended road trips I only had to revert to shore power to charge on occasion...
Rather than using a cigarette lighter type plug to charge an Ecoflow, I'd like to run a dedicated circuit with a switch and replay. I'll be using 12 awg for the power from the battery with a 12 awg 30 amp inline fuse to a 4 pin 40/30 amp relay with a switch spliced from an ignition-on wire. The...
