Here is the setup I have planned.

Great news regarding the pass thru. I've had 4 separate people at Signature Solar tell me the grid pass thru limit is limited to 3000W on each leg. Sounds like you and @AZ Solar Junkie above have both tested it first hand. Thank you!!!!

You are the BEST!!!! If it doesn't work, I'll be forced to add a Chargeverter to the equation. Also....just subscribed to your youtube channel!

Just hooked up the 3rd battery and it’s charging just fine now. I’m stumped. I’ll have to use the first two batteries and try to charge again to see what happens.

So far I’ve charged 2 of them. I’ll post a picture of my setting.

    Thank you for that information!

I'm jealous. That was my original plan but when the WP batteries went on sale I couldn't help myself. However, the self heating, communication, and 280Amp size of the PowerPro's are amazing!

Hi @Zapper77. What is the danger of mounting the XP on its side? The manual says not too but if I orient it so the fans are blowing upward, is there a risk of overheating? Is there any other unintended consequences that this could cause? Thanks!
  • Post in thread: 50 Amp RV powered from single 120v inverter or 120v solar generator

Did you ever find a solution that fits your needs? I have been searching for the same answer. I would love to use the EG4 6500EX-48 but do I need the EG4 6000 to power both legs. Also...I'm not sure why the Victron 12V Multiplus 2 has a spot for Two hot legs but the 48V Multiplus 2 only has...
  • Post in thread: Eg4 6000XP generator charging limits

I have a 50 amp RV so the main reason I was drawn to the XP was to allow 2 hot legs in and two legs out to provide power to both sides of the breaker panel.
  • Post in thread: Eg4 6000XP generator charging limits

Yes. It would behave as if you had it plugged in to a full battery. I have mine hooked to the same bus bar as the batteries. If you don't use more power than the chargeverter is supplying, the batteries will just stay full. When that happens I usually see that the amps go down to 0.1 or so...
  • Post in thread: 5th Wheel 50AMP Build Advice

all 120v single phase outlets, which includes 30amp shore power, goes thru the chargeverter to keep the batteries charged.
  • Post in thread: Eg4 6000XP generator charging limits

When I called Signature Solar regarding the input voltage they said I could connect 120v or 240v split phase and referred to the manual that shows Nominal AC Voltage of "120-240". Is that incorrect? If so, do you know why that wouldn't work? I ONLY plan on running single phase loads as my...

Perfect. Is there a screenshot somewhere of the recommended settings?
  • Post in thread: Upgrading 6000xp Firmware

@Zapper77 I didn't realize the XP had bluetooth. I figured I would need to connect it to my phones HotSpot if I don't have wifi nearby. Do I use the app when utilizing Bluetooth or is there another way to access the setting in that situation?

Very exciting. I'd love to see a photo of it after the install.
  • Post in thread: Eg4 6000XP generator charging limits

This is probably a dumb question but does it matter if you use the resister on the positive or the negative cable?
  • Post in thread: EG4 Chargeverter only works at 50%

Thanks for the insight. I see what you are saying with the SOC. I'll have to see over time what happens. I'm going to do a capacity test on it as well to double check. Below is the BMS Parameters for the battery per the Spec Sheet. It should be able to charge at 100+Amps from what I see, so I'm...
  • Post in thread: Eg4 6000XP generator charging limits

Ok. Last try...Does the XP have an option to change the EPS Voltage to 120V Single Phase? If it does, would that change the outcome?
  • Post in thread: EG4 Chargeverter only works at 50%

Yikes. If the BMS is limiting it I have no idea how that can be fixed. These batteries do not have a communication port.

The settings tab only gives me the version of the app, or the firmware, or something along those lines.
  • Post in thread: Eg4 6000xp will’s set up question

I feel like I'm missing something. Below are the catagories I get when I log into the EG4 monitoring site. I seem to remember having more options when I first started using it. The last few weeks I don't see anything is these options that allow me to change things like. Grid Bypass...

  • Post in thread: 50 AMP RV w/ 48V System - HELP

I want to put in a 48Volt Battery Bank System in my RV. More Specifically a 48V Trophy 304AH battery so all I need is 1 battery to hook to the Inverter. However, with a 50 amp service I don't see many options for both legs to go into an Inverter. Even the 48 volt Victron MultiPlus II only shows...
  • Post in thread: Eg4 6000XP generator charging limits

One of the great benefits of using the Chargeverter in your 5th wheel is that you essentially have Hybrid/Power-Share features. AKA...your batteries will make up for what the grid power is lacking. I did a test on my batteries with the chargeverter hooked up (charging at around 25Amps & 56V =...
  • Post in thread: Check my 48V RV Solar System Design

If someone has a 50amp RV, would the inverter need to support split phase to provide power to both sides of the panel when plugged into shore power? (Two Hot Legs) Victron has the Multiplus II 2x120 but thats only for the 12V system.
  • Post in thread: EG4 Chargeverter only works at 50%

My Chargeverter seems to only what to charge Battery at a max rate of 10-11 Amps at 56V. Any idea what may be the issue? Background: I purchased four of the 48V 100 Amp WP batteries. They were dead on arrival and the BMS needed to be revived with a chargeverter which worked at waking them up...

  • Post in thread: 50 Amp RV powered from single 120v inverter or 120v solar generator

So just to make sure I'm understanding you. I can tie let 1 and 2 together and feed it into the inverter's L1, and won't overload the inverter with too much shore power coming in?
