This is just to celebrate how good these things work. I had SLA bank I replaced a week ago. You just can't beat them. No more generator! No more worries!
  • Post in thread: BMS for Schneider Conext

Thanks. I needed that. Wasn't quite sure.
  • Post in thread: Where to get Class T Fuses

Hello. I'm having a tough time obtaining Class T Fuses. I ordered them from Amazon and the order was never fulfilled. I have now ordered them from an electrical supply store but something is happening to that order. Are there shortages? Any ideas? Thanks
  • Post in thread: Stripped threads on aluminum cell

I do not have a drill index. Perhaps I will look into that. I sure don't want to mess it up either, right now I have a valid reason for the company to replace them, sure don't want to make it worst on all fronts.
  • Post in thread: Schneider 4048 output voltage too high?

I don't have an answer for this, but I will say, my duel 6848's have given me a couple issues. There was a firmware that, when paralleled, produced 45HZ instead of 60. This is apples and oranges to your problem, I had to search to find out that it was a known problem with a certain firmware...
  • Post in thread: Schneider XW Pro 6848

Mine's lower! Mind is blown. My voltage always reads .3-.6 lower. Schneider didn't have much info for me. Just asked where/how I was getting the correct voltage- Like I'm an idoit. Please share if they figure it out for you.
  • Post in thread: BMS for Schneider Conext

Have you succeeded? You mention in theory, does it work for your setup? Thanks!
  • Post in thread: Question about parallel battery Banks and how to properly link them

Damn! that's a great looking battery. Good job! So clean!
  • Post in thread: Batrium.... One cell

Batrium K9. I replaced the bus bar, the ring terminal, the fuse, the wire, and the ferrule. Same problem. In fact, it is getting worse. It deviates so high I am going critical. I changed much of my critical thresholds to account, but that reduces the level of safety for the system. I just...
  • Post in thread: BMS for Schneider Conext

I'm going to unpack this more and hopefully figure it out. For a novice like myself, that all sounds quite overwhelming. I watched a few of your vids, I feel like a lot of what you're doing is over my head but very interesting. I'll take some more looks. I suppose all that I have undertaken...
  • Post in thread: XW 6848 Pro running at 70hz!

It was just doing it. Appareently, it was a known issue from Scheider when you paralleled two 6848's. That didn't stop the company I hired to design my build from building a "wired system" for me to DIY. (Solar Unbound). There was a new firmware that fixed it.
  • Post in thread: BMS for Schneider Conext

Hello all, Old thread but looking for help. I have 2 Schneider XWs with a bank of lead acids I need to replace. I'm just begining this DIY LifePo4 process, built a 12 pack for another system as a means to educate myself. Now I'm preparing to go big and build 2 16S packs, maybe a total of 6...
  • Post in thread: Victron Shunt issues

Hey everyone. I'm using my first Smartshunt on one of my builds. I have Batrium for my big boys that power the house, but now I'm experimenting with smaller batteries for a couple products. Smartshunt is on a 420AH 12v. I did 4P2S (105AH cells). Everything was working well with capicity...
  • Post in thread: Different sized battery banks on a single inverter

Thanks for the info. Question...does the length and gauge of the cable matter? Seems like equal lengths of battery cables matter when you parallel.... But when I have 280ah and 100ah- does my cable need fo be the same length and gauge?
  • Post in thread: Victron Shunt issues

Disregard. Nailed it. Setting in the BMS. Rookie mistake. Argg...

  • Post in thread: BMS for Schneider Conext

I don't have Batrium... I'm still planning. I'm laying down the plans for either (2) 16S 280AH or 2P16S 560AH. Not sure how I'm going to proceed with the hanicap I have using Schneider. I need some-sort-off protection- stopping the charging and inverting if the BMS says too.
  • Post in thread: Batrium.... One cell

I just expanded my system with another 16s bank. I have one cell, #43 of 48 that will jump up or down radically. The entire collection of banks is working well. I have had any problems yet, but this does worry me. Is this a blemished terminal thing? Or a greater problem? Thanks.
  • Post in thread: Where to get Class T Fuses

Will check them out. I passed over then early on in this pursuit as their shipping is so much. Have you ordered lately? I ask, because my two attempts to order them elsewhere has been in vain as there seems to be supply shortages.
  • Post in thread: Where to get Class T Fuses

Thanks for the input. I'll confirm the delay with my existing order at the one place. If my suspicion is correct, I'll be cancelling the order today and reaching out to Alte
  • Post in thread: Stripped threads on aluminum cell

I just got 16 more cells. In one box, a thread from each was not threaded. Smooth inside, with no threading. Speaking to the seller now. The cells appear fine, just overlooked in the construction. I can just thread them myself with an M6 tap... right?
  • Post in thread: Where to get Class T Fuses

There's a shortage. Hard to find.
  • Post in thread: Stripped threads on aluminum cell

    For sure.

  • Post in thread: XW 6848 Pro running at 70hz!

I had a firmware issue a while back. Mine was putting out 50HZ.
  • Post in thread: Where to get Class T Fuses

This is horrible. No fuses anywhere. I acquired 3 200As but... My banks should have 250A fuses. If I used the 200s, my blue seas holders do t work. I can't even find holders for the 200a. Argggg! This is holding up my conversation from SLA banks.
  • Post in thread: Overwhelming batrium anxiety

gotcha. I'm putting my system together now... sort of. 32 EVE280's just arrived today. I have a whole lot of Batrium ordered. Not sure when that's coming. I bought a 4-Pole Shunt Trip. Trying to figure out my plan. I want to leave room for expansion- figured I'd take each pack and go...
  • Post in thread: Where to get Class T Fuses

Good call. I had not seen that source. The site said they have them, but I just got off the phone... 250s out of stock. I'm going to spend MORE money and purchase 200AMP fuse blocks (assuming they are in stock, they could not confirm it) Glad for the link for future projects. I learned...
  • Post in thread: Surge Arrestor for Washing Machine

I'm off grid with two big Schneiders. I can say, my lean, energy efficent washer causes lights to flicker with every little surge. I only say this, because although these are crazy quick surges, they are the only surges that does this. No blinking lights with well pump, air conditioner, etc...
  • Post in thread: BMS for Schneider Conext

I have the Scheider BMS on my Lead Acid Batteries. I may not be using it to it's full potential, I need to explore that idea. On my system right now, I use Voltage Triggers to activate the Generator. This set up won't work with the LifePo4 upgrade. Without exploring the Scheider Battery...
  • Post in thread: Overwhelming batrium anxiety

I have Midnite Classics too– 4 of them. All with seperate breakers to the PV and to the Battery. Glad to hear someone else with Classics and Lithium. I like these chargers, but I do worry they are not "smart" enough for Lithium. I made a seperate "power station" out on my property that...
  • Post in thread: Schneider XW Pro 6848

Correct. I have the XW Pro. I have the Gateway, it's been replaced by the combox I guess. To my understanding, they function the same. I don't have anything from Batrium. It's just a desire. I did reach out but have not heard back yet. I'm looking around, others found a means to...
  • Post in thread: Midnite Solar Classic BMS communications

Steve, Trying to understand the AUX2 Logic Input-2. I tryed with (resisted) 12v signal from the Batrium BMS. The idea was to have the batrium send a 12v signal to "stop charging" when the Batrium Shunt sees 90% SOC. I'm missing something- I put a resistor on both +/- of 12 as a test, but...
  • Post in thread: Overwhelming batrium anxiety

    That's pretty slick.
  • Post in thread: Theses no other way to go (DIY LifePo4)

Amen! I have just 28KWH in two banks this far. My supplier has been Amy Zheng from Docan. I just can't believe the performance! I built for expansion, and intend on building at least four more banks.
  • Post in thread: Schneider XW Pro 6848

    My mistake.
  • Post in thread: BMS for Schneider Conext

Hey. I'm set up now an Batrium is working great. Two Batteries (so far). I have the Watchmon Core and 2 K9's. I'm very apprehensive regarding the intergration. Dummy question: Did the "speak to each other" via Wifii? Or hard connection? Not really sure how to link them. Thanks

  • Post in thread: BMS for Schneider Conext

Gotcha. Thanks for the information. I will say, the voltage on the Scheider Battery Monitor is the same incorrect voltage on the SCP- I just looked. I do find this shocking. It's wired right up to the bank... How on earth could it be wrong, and the "same wrong" as the SCP. Weird. I sure...
  • Post in thread: Gr00ldude48 - beware!

I bought from this guy a couple times. Last time though, in Sept 2022- he never sent me the BMSs I purchased. I wired him $346 and now he's ghosting me. POS.
  • Post in thread: Batrium Watchmon Install

is your use of the Kilovac EV200AAANA just for critical faults?
  • Post in thread: Where to get Class T Fuses

Thanks. I did just place an order. Never looked at Walmart, guess I didn't exhaust my efforts. So far, so good. I have placed 4 orders at places thus far that later called me and said they were out of stock.
  • Post in thread: Schneider 4048 output voltage too high?

Have to have the combox or gateway. You do need extra equipment.
  • Post in thread: Batrium Shunt

Perhaps a rookie question.... I have a pretty sweet Lifepo4 battery cart as I prepare for the replacement of my horrible SLA bank. I'm running Batrium with the Watchmon Core, (2) K9s, and shuntmon. Shuntmon appears to be good, but doesn't show a charge. I'm just using a benchtop charger to...
  • Post in thread: BMS for Schneider Conext

Gotcha. My build is on the planning phase with Batrium on the way and cells top balancing. Until I get more hands on, my questions may be ignorant. Forgive me. With Batrium and Schneider talking to like the python, what is the functionality? Thanks
  • Post in thread: Batrium Shunt

The Lifepo4 is completely independent of the SLA at this point, haven't converted... still building. I just have a bench top charger I set for 58.0 volts on the Lifepo 4, just to bring it up as I have had a slow build since top balancing. I brings up the voltage, appears to have added to the...

Been looking for manufacturers recommendations. No luck. What type cells do you use in this orientation?
  • Post in thread: Where to get Class T Fuses

Thanks to all of your help. Walmart did have them. Did. They don't now. I ordered two for my 2 16SS 280AH banks. I went back for more as I'm buiding my 3rd, and they are out of stock on 250A Class T fuses. Thoughts on 225? The largest Amperage I've seen in my entire bank consiting of 2...
  • Post in thread: Different sized battery banks on a single inverter

Your post has me concerned about my exisiting project. I have two 16S 280 AH strings, due to room- I decided to make a 3rd string @ 100 AH. What kind of problems would happen in this config? You say issues at top and bottom of charge. Can you elaborate? Thanks, James
