Hi,
I have one 48V 280AH 16S LifePo4 battery bank connected to a Victron smarshunt 500A. I am prepared to connect another of the same battery bank. I read that Smartshunt has an
3.4.1 Aux connection for monitoring the voltage of a second battery. The Aux connection can be used to monitor the...
Is it that much?? How much is it for the Victron, because it matters to me. I calculated pretty sharp on my requirements. 4.3 kWh is a lot of panels and batteries extra fromyour initial requirements...
The Victron 450 can take 12000W of panel with full 200 amp charging rating, and capable of 28KW if overpanelling. That is what made me choose Victron. For a larger solar system, it is more economical with Victron.
Hi,
QUICK QUESTION: I would like to monitor the system by app or wifi, and I'm confuse about those three products:
- Victron Cerbo GX
- Victron Smart Dongle
- Victron Color Control GX Monitor
Question: What do I need a minimum?
My system:
***6900W 10S4P, 280AH 48V, 3KW 120V***
- 30 x 230W...
My multiPlus 48 3000 120 accept the 2000W generator current on position "Charger only" (switch on position 2), and charges the battery just fine as well as providing direct AC, but does not charge on position 1.
1. Does that mean that position 1 is only for Inverting only? or that it is not...
Yes this battery will be connected to the main system. I'm just doubling the bank capacity. Since both 48v 280Ah battery will be connected in Parallel, their voltage (SOC) should remain the same, don't you think?
Thank you, HRTKD. there are 100 feet between the array and the equipment. Controller and battery in a 5th wheel belly. All in one controller just feels right ut I know the Victron is reliable, that's why I'm considering it.
Thank you all for your great advises.
I decided to build a easy wood structure that on which I'll use wood screw and washer to fix them on, and I purchased some groundgrabba (https://www.groundgrabba.com/collections/all-products/products/groundgrabba-pro-1-pack) to hold the structure to the...
Hi,
I have a Cerbo GX and it is connected to ethernet by direct network cable to my internet router 200' away which gives me link to VRM. As I understand it, the Cerbo GX has a access point Wifi protocole.
I want to monitor the temperature inside the insulated box in the shed where I put the...
Hi,
After watching Will's video on Wires and connectors quality, I started to doubt about my purchase and I would appreciate your comments or reviews. From now on, I'll follow Will's advice and I won’t be purchasing solar element from amazon anymore, and I can still return them if you judge...
Is it me or Victron has so many different hardware and software that it is mind boggling looking at the simplicity of the Chinese products interface!
Victron, I think it's time to hirer younger engineers!..lol
I'm far away from my install so I purchased the Cerbo because it said that I could do...
Sorry, I also misinterpret your word. while I was charging on position 2, the MP was indeed providing AC to the home (200W) and recharging at 1200W, for a total of 1500W. On the screenshot, I reduced the AC in load to 10 AMP as the Generator was running a little too hard. Once I stopped the...
Hi, and thank you for your response.
I'm only 6 month into the learning of solar and still learning, plus I just put the Cerbo GX in, and haven't had some time to learn how to change the setting on Multiplus like I used to by the smart bluetooth, so sorry if it takes a few shot to grab your...
Hi,
I'm getting Hydro! I have build this system because it wasn't sure we were getting Hydro, but now we do. System is balanced and working like a charm. The system is installed and working in a container. Wifi monitoring, insulated and heated battery pack. 1 hour from Ottawa pick up or delivery...
I'm looking to hook a generator to the Multi-plus II 48V 3000/35/50 120V.
Victron states AC input must can be up to 50A. The only way to get 50 from a generator is to use the 220V outlet, which is 2 x 120V. The Victron only has L1 and N.
Question: Will using 1 phase of the generator 240V outlet...
They have a calculator online and I punched in some numbers. But you might be right. I'm still a little confused to design. In the specs tho, I see: Rated PV Array Power 2250 Watts. Isin't it the Max PV input?
Wow, Victron is indeed very expensive. So far, they were high rated equipment, but the chinese product are getting better by the hour. Thank you for sharing
HI,
I'm building a house in a remote location where I need to install a offgrid solution. I purchased a pallet of 30 used 230w panels to provide temporary power on the site. Once the house is built, I might purchase new (more efficient) panels to go on the house roof, and might build trakers...
I have a question about connecting PV arrays with a higher short circuit current with Victron 450/200:
I want to connect 3p 9s Canadian solar 230W on Victron RS 450/2300. As the attached screenshot, Victron states in their manual that max amperage higher of 18A can be achieve but exceed the RS...
