I had some salvage 24v to 12v units. They not only blew fuses, but also smoked. Now they do not work. I looked up voltage divider circuits. Still not sure I won't smoke something. Okay, I can use two resistors to pull a feed for my 12 volt lights. But I'm hooked up to a huge amount of amps...
