That would be great. Seems like updates, while adding great features, also introduce bugs. Hard to update when the unit is purring like a kitten unless there is something major. Seems like the MR is finicky when it comes to rebooting and getting everything to sync and operating normal. For...
I found that the CT must be pointed toward the grid and showing a negative number on the inverter. Once i changed direction I am now feeding the main panel. Looks like it's holding at 50 watts, but my other monitoring system shows I am exporting 50-100 watts on one leg.
I could never get it to...
I have been running 1.5 years. I would venture to say that at some point the fans will need replaced. I assume, or hope, that by then to upgrade. I have yet to clean them. I think it would be a good idea to clean once a year, but that would also depend on the conditions where the inverter is...
Here is something I noticed today. When I last updated I got these valleys where the PV would drop and spike right back up. I turned down the charge amps to 65 and that seem to minimize the effect. I haven't seen these issue for two weeks. This morning I was playing around and enabled the...
I am running 4s2p on each tracker. I am seeing 280-290 volts and should be just under 12 amps at max power.
Picture is of two arrays. I have one more up now that is pointing South West, and yet to build one pointing South East to fill all four trackers.
With the suspect array turned off I am still getting these quick shut downs of the PV.
The 1 minute spike of the EPS is the basement lights. I went down and disabled the "Leak Detection". It might eliminate the reboot each morning for 5 minutes as shared in another thread.
I haven't read further down to see if you solved this, but I have had this situation until two days ago. I'm offgrid with lithium batteries. And, I've done the firmware update. Still, I couldn't pull more than 80amp from my batteries and sometimes they were not charging when they should have...
Mom made bread growing up grinding her own wheat, and wife made bread for us but used a bread maker machine. I don't care much for most breads in the stores. Now I eat as little bread as I can due to carbs, and as little sugar due to pre-diabetes. BTW I am 4th gen sugar beet/ wheat farmer.
The resistive heater's tag was from 1994 and based on .08/kwh. Very close to what I pay (ave .086). I din't see what price the $105/ year is based on. If it is .12/ kwh then it makes my numbers better. Have to look it up. BTW in summer over 800kwh/ month my cost is just below .12/kwh.
I used Battery Priority to charge the battery. Then switched to Peak shift and set discharge time so I can try and cycle the battery with DOD at 0%. But running whole house at 15 amp discharge is going to take a while.
Looks like Peak shift might do what I want reasonably well after I get it...
Using Solarman as a guide on how much your inverter is using is useless at best.
I think the latest firmware is posted above, but reports are it has issues. The last post with the numbers make it confusing if the file is wrong or more then likley the programmer does not follow any reasonable...
Where I am self consume, the inverter supplies 100% to the EPS, but in the main panel by adjusting the "Grid Power" setting you can limit the amount of power the inverter provides up to the CT's. For a test example I turned it down to 10%. Turned on the stove and the grid supplied 1.1kw and the...
Return = 20% DOD would be 80% SOC. So if grid discharged to 80% DOD the battery would not return to discharge until it reached 80% SOC.
Should be 80% DOD with return set at 60% DOD if you want to have discharge set to activate at 40% SOC
Most generators will start remotely with a two wire system. The inverter was suppose to have this option with firmware upgrade. I think there is the hook ups for it, just that it is not enabled with new firmware. Actually currently there is no programming for such function. There is however an...
Calling all Megarevo owners.
Seems like the other thread has been disabled? So I would like to start a thread to discuss or most important help each other out with problems, programming, or general.
I want to start by asking about how the CT works to keep from back feeding the grid? Looking at...
This is normal behavior. If you press the Enter button you should see a lock icon in upper right corner and it will not scroll through the screens. If you have an warning it will not scroll on it's own.
Better read the fine print published by the power company, at least mine. Completely off grid, go to go. Grid assist, or non export function they require to have an agreement with them. Of course the agreement with them includes going through local and state codes to have it inspected. If you...
Another member asked about the boot sequence earlier. I was doing some testing today as I get Bus over vol and Bat over vol warnings. Things been running smooth for the last day. Earlier some posted that they run on lead acid setting. When I tried I had issues, so went back to lithium. I have...
There is nothing written in stone I know of.
For me I seem to have best luck
1. Battery
2. Grid
3. PV
But even at that it is hit and miss. The reason I hate to even touch the thing if it's working, LOL.
This is good news when in EPS mode. But I have yet to see it in when connected to Grid. SO this might be my misunderstanding or still having it shut down the 5 minutes each morning at dawn. Maybe I will also test by shutting off the grind in the morning. If updates don't improve by this fall I...
Solarman is lacking or more then likely the Megarevo does not send that data. Mine shows same thing. I think the CT that measures grid is inside the unit so only reading what is on the grid connection, not from the CT's.
Here is mine this morning. Battery reached the limit of DOD, so only a...
DOD. is % you want your battery to discharge to. Grid is when there is grid connected. EPS is when grid is disconnected. return is where it will start to use the battery again after some charge has occurred.
My settings are 90% on grid and 95% on EPS. You may or may not want to discharge your...
My guess is that the % is based on the state of the inverter. I have mine set to 80%. I don't see any difference until the inverter is running 6500 watts or above. Then I start to see a rise in grid being used from the utility. Up to that point I see the usual 50 watts per phase. If the load is...
A few pages back there was a post about making setting in lead acid, then go back to lithium mode.
I only assume you are using lithium? Does the BMS communicate with MR? If no I think you have to use lead acid settings.
What version of firmware are you showing now that you have updated?
