Hello everyone,
So I've successfully wired together my own DIY generator to power various items in a garage as needed. I wanted to take it a step further and buy a 12v 5000watt Giandel inverter and supply 120v to a sub panel to power my workshop in my backyard. Is that possible? I was thinking...
Hello All,
So I'm in the process of purchasing all the components needed for a 400w system I plan on building. I want to know if I am able to use 24v solar panels(the solar charge controller can handle the watts and it's under the VOC) to charge a 12v LiPho Battery?
Hello Joey,

I was going to use 2 panels in series...
Since I’ve received which is like 2 weeks. I’ve been going back and forth with ampere and they’re sending a loaner charger to see ic that get the battery over the 13.9 threshold.

Great I wasn't concerned about the solar charge controller, but would I have issues charging my 12v lithium battery from a 24v array? I'll be using a 12 volt inverter connected to the battery bank to power my ac appliances as well.
Okay great thats what I figured. So the voltage from the PV array enters the SCC which is connected to the battery bank and will regulate the voltage needed to charge that battery. From that point the 12v battery will be sending DC to the 12v Inverter to be converted to AC?
So I have a 400 watt array, 40a mppt SCC, 2200 watt inverter, 1 12V 200ah Lipo Battery. I was going to use a 250A bolton fuse for the positive battery terminal, then a 250A surface circuit connected to the inverter (4g wire), 4g wire to 50amp fuse then 6g wire to SCC and a 100a negative bus bar...
Hello everyone,
I wanted to ask if I have a busbar that my positives are attached too, and a negative which my negative wires are attached to am I able to attach the ground wire of the inverter and solar charge controller to the ground of the dc fuse box, as long as the dc fuse box has a...
Hello All,
So I wanted to ask if running a 2200 watt inverter the fuse size calculation I'm getting is 230, but I can only find 250. Would that be safe with a larger wire such 0 gauge? Also when making any kind of updates such as adding panels, or batteries do I unhook the panels from the solar...
Hello
I'm new at this but If I'm making a DIY solar system, not mounted to an RV am I able to use a negative busbar or would I still need to have a copper rod going into the ground? The array is 200 watts and will be station in my backyard on my shed. The inverter, SSC and wiring would be...
Hello,
If I wanted to put a mini dc circuit in between my 12.8v 200 ah lithium batter and my 2200 watt inverter how would I go about sizing that? Doing the calculations I would need roughly 230amp to protect the inverter but I can only find 63a dc mini breakers? I believe I'm doing the equation...
Hello Everyone,
So I'm having an issue charging my battery over 13.9V. I've programed my solar charge controller to the parameters listed fo the batter per the vendor, there seems to be adequate voltage coming from the panels and I feel confident I've over sized the wire as well to prevent any...
