Hi all, I have found a reasonable amount of 36v lifepo4 batteries (50ah so 1.7kWh each approx) but when looking for inverter/chargers everything seems to be 12/24/48.
Are there any options available in 36v as a lot of these batteries seem to be available from the rail industry here in the UK...
Ok can see a few more of these advertised at 31 and 38 volts when they should be 105 I think. If two are faulty is it possible that I could maybe make one good if the cells are arranged a particular way?
Have an opportunity to purchase an X1 charger with bms and one 4.5kWh battery but the battery reads just 30volts. Can they be recovered from this low or is it dead for good?
I have just started my discovery journey with Valence stuff for home battery storage and this thread has been helpful for the XP series
https://diysolarforum.com/threads/valence-xp-super-thread.5683/ there is a link in there for both the 12.12 version and also the older 12.9
think the cable to...
Hey all
Still in the investigation phase but already have a solax charger that does 70-360v battery so looking at Valence for the battery. I know I will need a u-bms programmed for whatever configuration I end up with (the more the merrier) as well as a dc isolator and various other things but...
So further digging and Eaton UPS stuff seems to have some 72v architecture but if utilising a UPS which is effectively a charger inverter how do you modify it to provide power based on draw and solar cycle? I know turning the power off to the input is going to make the UPS kick in and supply...
I am based in the UK and have a typical "get solar panels" system fitted that was probably way over priced but does have a small impact on my daily costs.
Now with the price of electricity and gas on the never ending increase to great heights I am considering adding batteries to the house...
