I have them in my van. Had them for about six weeks. They test slightly above advertised capacity. I have induction cooktop and a 2000W inverter and they handle it with ease. They came balance charged and matched resistance. No regrets thus far.
Victron Smart MPPT 100V/30A (450W of solar, parallel, on the roof)
Victron Smart Battery Protect to control low voltage disconnect. I bought the 220A version and then read how to not run the inverter through it but use it to cut the "remote" about a week after I had the part in my hand but used...
I just purchased the Deligreen version of that same balancer in 4s. I plan on running it on my 2P4S 300AH pack that I am making. I will be testing to see if the balance transfer function works as stated. From what I have seen in videos and read in other forums this balancer does a very good...
@Will Prowse Can you override the auto-sense alternator auto-on and use the Switched ignition input and the unit only uses that? It looks like there's terminal's for it. There is a decent amount of people that use switched input to control charging through their BMV-712 for low temp, etc...or to...
Does not balance. You can add an external active cell balancer to do that. I am using the Deligreen unit with success.

The BMV cannot measure each cells voltage. It can measure midpoint voltage and alarm on...
These are fascinating to me. How do the terminals work? I looked all over the BYD website and couldn't find any specs or drawings indicating how you could DIY a pack with them. Anyone know?
BLS responded my inquiry. My cells are made by Higee. http://www.ihigee.com/
Higee responded quickly, cells were manufactured August 2019, as advertised by BLS. They also stated most cells are shipping without being drilling as the oem packager prefers to do it to their own specifications.

See answer, although the setup is different the fundamentals are the same. Also, due to the nature of the circuit Victron uses you should see about double the voltage drop across it when...
Its not what you know its who. Do you want to put a bet on the fact that I get it before December? ? Since you're a distributor I still need a BMV 712. We could bet one of those. Let me know! ??
Yes, I use the relay contacts on the BMV to disable charging from all sources at low temperature, under voltage, over voltage and midpoint voltage deviation.
@Sunfunkits Sounds like a great opportunity to do a group buy. I am sure the enthusiast community would love to support your small business growth and minimize your out of pocket costs towards inventory, if it was done at the right price. People pay a deposit and then the rest is paid when you...
The BMS was only rated for 60A and he needed to be able to pull more power than that so he uses the bms load wire to trigger the coil of the little 12v automotive relay. This way any condition that the bms considers worthy of shutting off will cause the relay coil to change state. The contacts...
It's an East Penn manufacturing rebranded Deka AGM battery. They are great AGM batteries and I have ran them for years in my RV's.

How do you get 4S4P out of 8 batteries? That would take 16.
4S2P or 2P4S would get 12v. Both at 120ah.
Pass on the deal and order 4 BLS cells off of Allie Express. They have some around 100ah, 130ah and 150ah...
Thank you sir. I would like to pick your brain if you don't mind. So what you did was bottom balance the cells and no BMS after that? No concern on how the system will deal with a dead cell? No cell balancing devices at all? I see you are using a Victron MPPT but no temperature protection? Are...
What gauge wire comes on that for the discharge port and charge port? I am VERY curious if you can actually push 200A though it and for how long. Can you test that?
I think there's a market for easy-to-do makers kits for these. Gimme an easy button, I'd enjoy the experience but don't have the time to build or deal with loading code. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. I enjoy the open source natural and customization but lack the spare time.
