I belive the outback may also have a dump load you could also use aux ports to turn pump on when batteries are charged and have excess solar and use something like a atkison gen start dohickie to control pump time. pool timers may have high phantom loads, but not sure about that

I would second the Grundfos pumps. alot of the SQ models run off of solar dc or AC gen. I was able to pump a 300' well with a 1000 watt honda generator with a sq pump. Most well pumps would laugh at 1000 watt generator. ALso stay away from pressure tanks if you can, best to pump to a water tank...

I belive you want stranded wire for Dc applications. most romex is solid.

Also the controller box ($900) is not needed but it makes things nice for the ability to connect a float switch. a normal pressure switch will work to turn off pump if using pressure tanks without the controller box.

depends on how much elevation drop 2.3 feet vertical is 1 psi. anything less then 15 psi is miserable but can be done, 30 psi is a good pressure all around. you could always build a stank for the tank to get a few more psi. 20 feet would be around 8.5 psi. more when the tank is full...

yes I also charge with a victron mppt 30 amp cc no- communication to inverter. no plans for a cerbo or gx device.

sounds like two breakers with a breaker "lockout" would work. this is standard on a outback power wall switching from grid to battery...

what I do also like about the battery monitor feature is it allows a low soc inverter shut down . when selected in the programing page one must fill in a soc bulk finished percentage to use any of the features I belive.

I just recived one of those controllers and am having a hard time thinking this thing can take 10 amps at 400volts. the wire connection points are so small and look cheap. have anyone installed one of these yet?
