Checking wire sizes for (2) 6000xp inverters to battery rack.

Thank you all, I did look at the cables and indeed they do have the 105C rating. I found it interesting the difference the temperature rating can make in the allowable amperage and how many different rating tables there are for copper wire/cables. Robbob2112, thank you for the link!

Checking wire sizes for (2) 6000xp inverters to battery rack.

Okay, now I’m really confused. How can SS be selling packages where they are including wire that is too small (1AWG) to connect the inverter to the batteries?

Checking wire sizes for (2) 6000xp inverters to battery rack.

I am wanting to make sure my math for wire sizing is correct, sometimes I can get 1+1=3… I have two 6000xp inverters and a rack of EG4 batteries. My plan is to have a wire run with a fuse from the battery rack to bus bars (5’ long max) then run a separate wire run to each inverter (3’ long...

Beginner question on setting up battery system, where to learn?

For now we aren’t getting into the solar part of a system, for now the system is for when we loose power. Where I am, it rains or it’s cloudy for at least 6 months of the year. LOL And thanks everyone for the info!

Beginner question on setting up battery system, where to learn?

Oh thank you. I have so much to learn. I’m assuming that the cables from the bus bars to the inverters should all be the same length

Beginner question on setting up battery system, where to learn?

Hello all, after watching multiple videos I am no closer to knowing how to hook up my battery bank to my inverters. Where is a good resource on learning about all of this stuff? I don’t learn well reading books unless they are very basic, so I am not very book smart. I’ve watched who knows how...

    Totally confused Noob

Thank you everyone for their help. Because it is looking like I won’t be generating much extra power for now, I don’t need the capabilities of the 18Kvp. Maybe I’ll be allowed to upgrade in the future or next house. Heck, I figure the “The big one” will hit and the west coast will be shaken...

I am just getting started with getting a back up system for my house. I think I have narrowed it down to getting a packaged deal from EG4, but I’m stuck on deciding which inverter to get; either one 18Kpv or two 6000XP. I think I have searched the internet/YouTube to the point that I am more...
