Received a response from Signature Solar Tech, they requested that I performed a firmware update on on the EG4 6.5 inverters. About 4 days have past, the random fault code 61 and the going off line seemed to have stopped. Also, I can connect the EG4 batteries to both inverters with both...
Looking at the data logger recording speed (1 per 5 minute) compared to the SA recording speed (1 per 10 second), the data logger will more than likely miss an event. Maybe it is that its that SA will show the event while DESS monitor will miss it, only giving the appearance of fixing the problem.
I have similar issues with one of the inverters (master) rebooting, I upgraded to the 79.67 and the problem still persists. I have been in contact with signature solar, but as of today have not received any direction or suggestions on what needs to be done to correct this issue.
SS solar responded and requested the firm ware version (79.67 & 61.12) and said
"Also, I am being told Solar Assistant has been causing some issues with our units as of late; I am getting more information on this, though. It was suggested that I ask you to use DESS Monitor for a bit and see if...
I have two EG4 6500 EX48 and was wandering if anyone else has had issues with them just turning off not fault codes or error codes. Mine have been shutting down on a random bases (around once per week) and when they are restarted the settings are changed. Today the Hz was changed from 60 to 50...

I have a similar problem setting 12 and 13 revert back to 0, on a random basis, if you don't catch it your batteries will go to zero. I have to check mine every night to make sure they are not at zero. I have a request in for tech help, I did manage to see the fault code 61 beep a few times and...
What firmware are your inverters running?
I was having on off issues and upgraded to 79.70 due to the inverters turning off and on randomly.
After the firmware upgrade the on off issue is still random and have a new issues where the inverters turn on and off when the PV power starts to increase...
That email was received and tried, and a response from a different tech on Oct 14 stated the referral and said the t3 ticket was to be updated. However, I will respond directly to Payton's email.
Is your EG4 monitoring portal still showing the TYGO information, I have not been able to get mine to work.
Does anyone else have issues with getting the TYGO information on the EG4 monitoring portal? It seems fairly simple just add it to the configuration / devices page in the action item, and...
The "On-Grid Cut-Off SOC(%) (?)" is the value that will switch you to grid. When the solar starts to generate the grid usage will taper off as the the PV starts to take the load.
Quick question,
Has anyone tried the 18KPV fast charge?
I tried mine the other night and display showed the fast charge activated but it did not charge the batteries. I think I may have a setting incorrect, If yours is working, what are the charge settings?
I am experiencing similar issues as well and working with signature solar, still no solution. I have split phase EG4 6500's with EG4 48v batteries. The system seems to not have this issue when in SBU or USB modes and SUB is OK at night time. However if the solar panels are producing power (no...
I just noticed that as well, and not sure what is does. would be nice if they would offer some explanation for these changes.
Also, just noticed on the monitor page a start battery backup button.
I have Solar Assistant connected to EG4 6500ex, in the configuration page of solar assistant there is an option for operation logic. In that option there are three items:
Automatic
Online mode
ECO mode
Does anyone have information on what these mean? or what program settings in the EG4 6500ex...
I have had a similar issue with the EG4 6.5 's, My system just started up about two weeks ago and it will just turn off without any fault codes and will restart without any issue. I also have a very low load on mine and full batteries when it turns off. However, I was working on a project around...
I had a similar issue, my inverters were replaced and the new unit did the same thing just not as often. SS had me change my settings and quit using EG4 in setting 5. It been about a month and things seem much better. The following is the settings I was asked to use,
User Settings: Change...
And still waiting on Signature Solar for some tech support, responses seem to be slow coming with very little help in them. They have now stated that they have referred this to a tier 3 tech support. Sounds good but still not seeing solutions or communications with this new support tech.

Yes, I am using
I am using the "eg4" setting on the master unit and "user" on the slave unit, and using the original RS cable for the master inverter (connected per Sig-Solar video). Question, when using the "user" battery setting on both inverters, do you keep the RS cable connected?
