OK ... So I waited until this issue was fully resolved to give me thoughts. And now it is ...
Most People do not share their success stories, so I wanted to give a thumbs up to Signature Solar for this resolution
We purchased a Growatt 12kW SPF 12000T DVM MPV 250voc from Signature Solar...
Up until Last week I had never heard of pre-charging a larger inverter before connecting the battery cables. I just lived with the spark. But I was watching a "Will" video about a DIY LFP build and saw that he used a resistor before connecting the Positive Terminal. This peaked my...
Installing The Big Growatt SPF 12000T 12kw Inverter into a Cargo Trailer for a 12k watt mobile power generator. All the panels will be installed on a pole/post barn and I will connect the Inverter's Solar Charge Controller MPPT to the panels via 8 awg SOOW cable and Anderson Connectors.
First...
Today was cleaning, feeding and care day in the hydro garden . Got everything dressed up for beauty shots.
This little hydro system keeps the wife and I in salad and greens 3-6 days a week. All we want. I harvested 3 stuffed grocery bags off it Monday ... Cut all these lettuces to nubs, and...

@Will Prowse ,I'm not trying to suck up or be a fan boy but I pretty much discovered the "how to" of DIY LFP from your videos. I've wanted to DIY LFP for the past 4 years. But finding a working bms and cost friendly cells made this out of reach. This forum solved both questions. And I've...
I'm on the way to Kissimmee. Tours of my set up are $5. The parks 1.5 hrs south of here are 20+x's that. I'm offering greater value. And lake front views.
I think it's too hard to keep up with who is reputable. Many times a seller will start off reputable and sell a bunch of really good cells and then later on start dumping a bunch of bad cells

OK ... so on to the install.
So far, I have the two 24k head units and condenser units installed. Communication lines and drains are coming together.
First I did the Living Room 24k unit
And outside ... a wall rack rated for 350 lbs. (NOTE: I also added a 3rd piece of UniStrut to...
Alright ... here it is. Ahead of Schedule. But I was in too much of a hurry to get it up before work tonight to shot video. So no video of the build and install.
I think it came out pretty nice
Concealing the Lineset and thru hole
But the Wife is pretty much saying "NO !" on the...
And here I was just worrying the other day about where I'd dispose of these 40 cells I the have. If the OPs study is correct, I'll be dead, it'll be somebody else's problem ?
I had a few little extra pieces of shrink wrap so I decided to wrap the tools that I commonly use around the Lifepo4 cells and terminals.
Large heat shrink on the sockets
A piece of heat shrink on the metal section of the torque driver
And a composite ratchet round out my safety pieces
I used...
Got the trailer for the Build at my house a few weeks ago. Have had some time to get things started.
Batteries are Almost Done
- They're mounted in shelves I built into the trailer
- I built room for 5 battery banks, but we are starting with 2
- Got all the battery electronics in, and 1 out...
Nor am I. Thank for the response.
I will say, @Amy Zheng has been following up with me and she has helped me confirm the vendor from the QR code. I have been very impressed with her responsiveness. As was noted in the other thread about Doncan Tech, I hope they stay this way and keep...
The 2nd 24k install is more completely installed than the first, All electrical connections at the unit are done.
AC power is connected. PV MC cable is pulled up into the attic waiting on the Solar Panel and Breaker Disconnects to be installed. The outside disconnect has a 20amp DP AC...
I do not completely agree with this ... Let me read both good and bad and then decide. But also do not gloss over the bad or hide them all together. (not saying SS or anyone else does this). But in the end, I just like to make an informed decision.
Sometimes I read the stuff people...
Been working on it and planning it for a while. And it just so happened to work out that the day I actually finished the job was also my Birthday ... today ?
I have a single Midnite Solar Classic 150. For the past four years it has been just fine with a MS Classic Sizing Tool sized array...
Thank Goodness for Quad Breakers. I added two 15/20db/15s and one 15/40db/15. This gave me plenty of space for both the 24s and the 15k AND gave me one extra space I did not have. (Note: the EG4s are not wired yet)
A watts meter will not be fast enough to to pick up motor surge. It's measured in milliseconds.
You need a good digital volt meter with In-Rush function.
That’s kinda how my POCO looks at it. I back feed once about 200 watts total (not per hour) for 2 days One weekend. My Schneider SW4024 didn't like being in AC Support mode and Load Shaving mode at the same time. Every time the microwave surged on it back fed the grid for a few watts. The...
BTW ... How to get free shipping on your SanTan order.
1. Order enough extra to cover the cost of shipping. ie. If you need 10, get 1 or 2 extra for you and then 5-10 more to sell
2. Sell the extra locally for local Pic up. on Craig list or Facebook marketplace
3. Figure in enough on the...
Well there's Ur problem right there. The battery voltage is falling through the floor and not recovering.
It has absolutely NOTHING to do with Ur XW or firmware or that u need to use a resistor.
That said, just watched @Will Prowse quick tear down of that battery he released today. After...
And it seems to me, sometimes they are politicized to discourage DIY, control the masses and protect the profits of a manufacture or Trade organization.
