If you have a 200w+ solar panel kicking around you could connect it direct to a single battery. Leave it outside in the sun and watch the sg's over time, it will take along time to get the sg's up. Do not worry about hooking a 39v panel to a 2v cell, that battery will bring the solar panel down...

I'm seeing 2.7kwh per pack usable..cycling 3.06v-3.4v..these days I a pulling over 50kwh nightly on sunny day running a couple heat pumps...the byd's have been very stable and I have seen no degradation on the trimeric meter over the past year of daily cycling.

My surplus Byd batts will absorb 3-4 hrs at 3.4v per cell, they will accept an additional 10% charge once they hit the 3.4v per cell at absorption.

Anyone know if it is possible to get the Mpp Solar LV5048 to charge from grid and not be in bypass mode. Trying to charge bank with a diesel generator loaded to 90% and have the house running on inverted power so as to not overload the generator with house loads. thanks...

I used the same screws as above, works really well.. I added headways to the cells that are lower in capacity, then paralleled the cells with fused interconnections. After all that I still only charge to 95% which my batteries hit at 54.4v at 2-5hrs at absorption , if the batteries are fully...

I am finding my BYD's to be very stable after doing the fused cell interconnects and headways, packs stay within 50mv on the knees... I have been running the cells between 3v-3.4v per cell, and pull +-20 kwh daily.. The main thing I find with these byd's is that they need time at absorption...

As of now my voltages are 54v float and 54.4v bulk... I got to 100% charge the other day for the first time in a month, been sitting between 30-85% soc since late September. In the summer months I run 53.6V float and 54.2v bulk as I am at 100% soc daily by noon most days.. My bank of batteries...

You could try arranging them In a different order and see if the imbalance follows the cell...
