  • I do not understand your comment: "LiFePo4 battery charger that's AC input and not a charge controller". If I add the out Outback Power Radian GS8048A connect the AC wiring (L1, L2, N, G) and DC to the battery and the current sensors would go on near the utility meter so it charges from solar without pulling from the grid and discharge to cover loads. What would I still be missing for it to work?

That would work just fine. It's only my preference to just use microinverters on the solar panels, and use an AC/DC battery charger for the batteries.
    Hi Todd,

I find it very interesting what you are trying to create and I think there will be a lot of folks out there who have installed an AC system but would want to upgrade with a DC Battery. Tesla, Enphase, SMA charge an arm and a leg for their battery solutions, and a Server Rack is 1/3 of the price.

    Hi Todd,

I'm hoping to add a DIY Server Rack to my Enphase system, but I'm not sure what AC Coupling/Hybrid Inverter. When searching the forum, I keep seeing your post helping folks out. Would it be possible to have a look at my thread and comment if you have the time?

    It is much much appreciated!

I never suspected for the technical details to be wrong in amazon. Completely clarified. Thanks very much for sharing your knowledge with us newbies
Hi there! Just need clarification on the 200-300A T-Class Fuse Will recommends in his website for the complete EG4 6500EX-48 inverter and battery system. I followed the link in Amazon to purchase them, but in the description technical details of the 300 amp T class fuse, it shows for voltage 12 volts. Is this correct or should it be for 48volts?

I don't know which link Will posted, but you are correct. The fuse needs to be rated to 100V, because the battery charger can go to 56V when equalizing. Most Class-T fuses are rated to 300V, check Littlefuse on Mouser or Digikey, not Amazon. You never know what you get on Amazon.

    Best Regards,
    Todd
