My politics run counter to a lot of people but when I come here and to other forums I like that politics are not debated. Political post just turn into flame wars with ad hominem attacks to surely follow. Mods should lock down all political threads without prejudice
Just to add from the back page about dissimilar metal corrosion. I usually use this chart or another I can't find right now to see if I am going to have a problem. I've seen some of this corrosion happen so fast that I always check now.
Started testing mine. Charged with a PS @ 3.65v 5A for now, Let rest and then a discharge to 2.8v
My load was oscillating and acting a little funny on this one so I am going to retest. Ended up at 277ah but I think I had about 1ah trying to figure my issue in the beginning.
So awhile back I purchased a DC Load off of ebay. For sometime now I was thinking I wasted my money because this thing was a PITA to program and I was getting ready to toss it out the window. the problem was it returned to dam many OK radomly. LOL but anyway . . .
I found a great program on...
Wow color me impressed.
I purchased 16 batteries in July 2020 for 95 dollars each shipped.
Then life got in the way, I moved etc and the batteries were in storage for the whole time.
Stored outside in a storage crate. To include Florida summers and a cold Tennesse winter where some days...
Just tested one of these with my new load test setup. I charged the battery last week so it's been sitting around for a few days. I ran the test at 20A with a cutoff voltage of 24V

I don't think you will get xuba in 3 weeks, more like 6.
You could rtry bigbattery, the have some 24v batteries that are testing well for me. You would need 4 of them for 400 ah
So now that I got a minute I want to share a saftey alert for these batteries.
Most of us have watched Will's video and are aware of the live voltages on the top of the battery when the cover is removed. I was very careful when I had the top off.
But as I was working on the battery I did...
I think it's a great idea but it could be abused. Seems people always find a way to turn things sour.
Also I notice sometimes people don't want to ask questions if they think they have to tip.
This thing is really customizable. You go in advance mode and set any kind of voltage profile that you like. its pretty slick and easy to use and all the settings are customizable (well most)
It's pretty simple to do and the orange pi is easy(ier) to get these days. I'm a fan of doing it yourself and the savings will buy dinner. Every dollar saved can be used somewhere else :)
I wanted to make a bigger order with senberry but was a little afraid because they are new. I had my Chinese friend contact him just to get a feel if they are ok. I did learn that he speaks zero english and does not understand why he was banned from the forum. I tried to explain but not sure...
