Yep helps here . As to how much i have no idea . But i wanted to see if it did before so i turned off ac ran the hot water out & let it run its cycle &. Its noticably cooler/ less humidity. I really didnt get mine for dehumidification but it is a noticed added benifit that the system provides ...
  • Post in thread: Heat Pump Water Heater Recommendation

I personally have the 80 gallon off brand . It works quite well due to the sheer size of the unit . We are a smaller family & i have it set to efficient mode so it only uses the heat pump zero use of the resistive heating elements. Main reasoning i got it was the 4000 watts of normal water...

If you exhaust air you have already cooled what your hvac system has warmed up inside your home. Depending on where you live it may be more efficient to put an inlet & outlet from the outdoor possibly .
  • Post in thread: UFO Batteries????

I have had the ufo battery for a couple of years. I got mine from a supplier in Texas though . Comes wrapped in enough wood to build a small house with.
  • Post in thread: Both Ac & Dc coupleing

After talking with Schneider i found out that its very possible to do both ac and dc coupled and while hooked to the grid when the pv inverter is on the sw will actually export . When grid goes down the Schneiders internal relays dont allow power to be exported onto a dead grid line .

    Any around Tx ?
  • Post in thread: UFO Batteries????

I would like a list of the distributers my self . I've had bad exp with some .
  • Post in thread: **SOLD** Schneider XW PRO For Sale - Mid Michigan

I'll add that to my current sw . Post up pics
  • Post in thread: Schneider Conext XW

That watt node looks eerly simular to what the solar edge energy monitor looks like except the solar edge i have outside.
  • Post in thread: Schneider XW vs Sol-Ark

Yep I don't have a clamp meter just a cheap old multimeter and I have the solar edge that has two clamp cts on it but I have it permineyly inside the breaker panel .I'll have to see if the multi meter can catch an inrush current to it . Schneider says the SW is 7000 watts for 5 secs so I'm sure...

Do u happen to remember Do u happen to remember where u found them online .
  • Post in thread: Schneider Conext XW

If I remember right solar edge uses modbus communication . That prob would come in handy in ac coupling for someone who knew how to program maybe. I don't know nothing about that type thing.
  • Post in thread: Schneider Conext XW

Good info to know . I would rather as much of my excess power be used being they give me 1/4 of what I pay them for power they provide I will utilize my sw still when I am able to acquire the xw.
  • Post in thread: Both Ac & Dc coupleing

That's the only one I've found also
  • Post in thread: Schneider XW vs Sol-Ark

Explains the water depth . I've never dug in the mountains before imagine you would have to hammer drill there & hit water fractures . We like going to Tn Sevierville Gatlinburg areas on vacas . Pretty areas .
  • Post in thread: Schneider context 4048 burn resistors ,help

You may want to check your warranty for sure if you registered. I would figure out why those messed up though as to prevent the same thing from happening again if it was human error .
  • Post in thread: UFO Batteries????

I will be in a couple months . Especially when i add the bigger schneider xw pro
  • Post in thread: Schneider Conext SW 4048 does NOT list Lithium as battery option. Why?

The Sw Works with my lithium batteries . I didn't like using it w/o the battery monitor though rather than using voltage as an indicator . When you setup your sw you can update the firmware & it even shows lithium as an option . To each there own but i use custom settings instead being that is...
  • Post in thread: Both Ac & Dc coupleing

Has anyone ever used both dc & ac coupling before in your system . Did you set your ac coupleing charge settings a little lower so it frequency shifted to drop export of the grid tied system down before the dc coupled . Obviously battery charge rates play a part in that .
  • Post in thread: Heat Pump Water Heater Recommendation

That was what i had looked at Sears years ago & was going to purchase but couldnt afford at the time . Glad to know it has lasted 8 years.
  • Post in thread: Heat Pump Water Heater Recommendation

I bought mine off ebay it was cheaper & ability to pay with paypal ("For a 80 gallon" ) not cheap to me really the guy had 4 of them said they didn't sell good . He was in one of the Northern states . They are all gone now . I also have a kozy kool everyone said would be trash has been the best...
  • Post in thread: Both Ac & Dc coupleing

Ac frequency shift to drop export to the micro grid the battery based inverter creates . Basically frequency shift to drop the output to zero say at a 90-95 % so that the system doesn't risk an over charge the batteries in the event of extremely sunny days. Cool . I have a Schneider sw 4048 &...
  • Post in thread: Schneider Conext XW

The sw has a feature that the xw doesn't have look up smart charge on Schneider's website . Mine works fine I have to derate my solar edge when I want to use ac coupled and throw a couple interlocks . But any excess power does in fact charge the batteries when it is off-grid ac coupled .
  • Post in thread: AC or DC coupled PV setup for hybrid grid-tied?

Have you already purchased your Sol ark and batteries or are you still in the design phase ?
  • Post in thread: Schneider XW vs Sol-Ark

I use the smaller little bro to the xw pro i have the sw 4048 & it kicks over my 1 hp well pump with ease . These systems are excellent products only wish is that you could still stack the sws which Schneider says isn't available any more. So the xw is on the to buy list later on. I will just...
  • Post in thread: Schneider XW vs Sol-Ark

If your home doesnt have a high power usage you can use the Schneider sw. Mine does a well pump fine along with the heat pump. Although it does limit you being its max is 3800 watts . If you want to go real cheap dig a 4 inch well & use a dc powered submersible pump this way you can have a...
