I live in South Florida and I've seen people who have their batteries and inverters on their patios.
Also, I've seen people put their equipment in small sheds that with no A/C.
Did anyone ever answer HLD's question. Does he have a double ground neutral bond that he needs to be worried about? If so should he have removed the ground in the EG4 Inverter?

I found a used Reliable 3000W converter that I might be purchasing and I want to test it.
I have two flooded 12V Starting 1000CCA batteries on my boat that I want to put in series for the test. I think they are about 80Ah.
My question is can I just connect them in series and turn on inverter...
I assume you are putting the panels perpendicular to your roof? If so, do you have gutters? If you do, you want the panels about 6 plus inches from the edge of your roof. I would put the racking about 12" from the edge of the panel. So your bottom racking would be about 18" - 20" from the edge...

I had purchased a few used panels and one of the positive leads on one of the panels has a piece of an old MC4 connector connected to it. I tried to get it off, but didn't want to force it. Do I need a spanner tool to get it off (i have one on order)?
