After re watching the video I am kind of at a loss. Running this battery means i can only use 3,000 watts of power from my inverter. That is not going to fly. In order to get 5,000 watts usage i must buy another battery. That means $1,400 more bucks out of my pocket. That means i put $2,800...

I got the unit off of ebay. I sent the seller a link of the video just now. I hope they respond quick. The seller is from "DIY Solar with Will Prowse" recommended affiliate list. I will put a volt meter on the MPP pos and neg buss bars tomorrow after work to see the volts coming in

Here is the difference in cable size. I may be able to go to a fitting store tomorrow and get the ends for the Anderson connector and the mpp end to try new cables

having all kinds of problems here. the unit failed to power up and took 4 times at lunch to turn on. not sure if the connector is crimped enough from big battery. may half to take it apart and crimp it again. hope this fixes the problem. when it comes on it works fine. i should be able to flip...

more problems. got the 9 solar panels.. they look great and beefy. all already have connectors on the end. the bottom one is broke thou so i only have 8 working panels now. looks like the forklift tilted up and got into one of them in shipping. it was the bottom one. they were shipped face down...

Oh i see... it is open circuit volts i am looking for. thanks for the reply. so since i own 8 i would put 3 in parallel, 3 in parallel, and then 2 in parallel. Then connect all 3 groups together? 37.6 per panel x 3 is 112.18 open circuit volts this would be times 2 and then 37.6 x 2 is 75.2...

I am super impressed with the panels thou. I will order more from the same guy 3s5p for a total of 15 panels and 3750 watts..( my unit has a max of 4000 input). look like i will need 6 more panels and one replacement ordered.

I sent an email last night to see if i can add a panel to do 3s3p. It takes a day or so to get emails back from the seller so i hope he has not shipped yet. freight shipping to my town was $150. The shipping cost is the same for one panel or ten. i do not want to pay shipping twice for a new order.

got an email back from the pip manufacturer. Yep it does draw from only one panel input at a time. If you put 1000 watts in PV1 and 1000 watts into PV2 the max you can draw is 1000 watts. one array gets shut off depending in who has better sun. Seems like an expensive option to get max watts...

the cable that came with the battery was double ended. i had to remove one end to put on the batteries eyelet to connect to the pip. one cable popped right out with little tug. i think and hope this is the problem with power not working 100 percent of the time

look at this bad crimp from the factory. t was not even tight on one cable
