Thanks all for the suggestions. I figured its just easier for me to flip the breaker. I really was just concerned if that was to be expected. I guess I did have a power loop

Hey all - Thanks for the replies. The above diagram is what I have going on. When I am on battery, I have the invertor wired into the transfer switch so it will power my WFCO. That way I can use my 110 plugs to watch TV to fall asleep (haha). I misspoke also, I meant to say. with the WFCO...

Its the breaker that powers the Fan and the circuit board. I guess that would be the converter breaker?? I am not 100% sure.

The inverter out, goes to the Gen in on the GP-TS. I will take some pics when I get back. About to run out. I have shore power in, to a 30 AMP breaker on the WFCO, then a 15 amp runs the 110 plugs, then another 15 amp, which we believe is the converter. I do use all the 12v circuits on the...

I got it figured out thanks.
  • Post in thread: Solar camera setup

Just need a second pair of eyes. I am building a off grid security camera with remote battery monitoring. Camera - 12w Cellular router - 12w Charge Controller - 40w (I can NOT believe the controller has that high of usage) Remote module - 2.9w In a 12 volt system and the calculations from...

It is the Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 75/15 Solar Charge Controller 12/24VDC. I was having a hard time figuring the watts out on this one.
  • Post in thread: Help with tripping WFCO tripping

Well, I do want to power my 110 items with the battery. I want to be able to use my electrical plugs when on battery and disconnected from shore. I do not want to use extension cords from the inverter. So, that's what I am working on. So, are you saying instead of just turning off the converter...
  • Post in thread: Help with tripping WFCO tripping

Here is a video with the WFCO converter breaker on. What you will hear and see is the transfer switch flipping to 12v, the WFCO fan kicks on, then the TV gets power, and then the invertor goes into a fault mode. This all works however if I turn off the WFCO converter breaker. Side note - I...

Battery is a AGM 12v 205Ah (20 hour rating) Edit - I guess I am figuring Watts wrong

problem is I think, I wont be able to remotely monitor with the morningstar??
  • Post in thread: Victron Energy GX LTE

Does anyone have any experience with the Victron Energy GX LTE monitoring tool? If so, can you share your experience? Looks like you can connect to Wi-Fi so you don't need a SIM?

  • Post in thread: Help with tripping WFCO tripping

That post 5 is not my transfer switch. Post 18 is. Just for clarification. So, back to my original question is turning off the main breaker for the converter "fixing" the issue? Everything seems to work when I am in this state. Just because I have that much available watts doesn't mean I...
  • Post in thread: Victron Energy GX LTE

Oh I see, I do not have anything yet. However, I was thinking I could connect this GX LTE to the Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 75/15 Solar Charge Controller 12/24VDC and monitor battery and solar usage. I can use a cellular card in it. However, I saw in the instructions it can connect to Wi-Fi...

That's what I am finally gathering in my thick skull now, haha. Turn the breaker off to the converter (WFCO).
  • Post in thread: Help with tripping WFCO tripping

haha, that is always the problem, operator error. Let me think about the shore power in parallel with the transfer switch. The limits of my knowledge where passed a long time ago. Thanks all........
  • Post in thread: Help with tripping WFCO tripping

I have a GO Power! TS-30, the Gen legs are fed from a invertor. I also have the hot and neu for shore power. Everything seems to work fine, however, if I am running on 12v / solar the WFCO WF-8735 trips. I have to turn the breaker (this is the same breaker that powers the WFCO fan and charge...

Here are some picture. So, I should keep doing what I am doing and turn off the last 20amp breaker, that is the converter/charger (my finger pointing to it). From top to bottom. WFCO GP-TS Samlex invertor Charge controller (testing solar) 100W

Also, the wire nut (red) is either for 30 amp or 120v. I just tied the inputs together. Just so I could have options at the camp site.
  • Post in thread: Help with tripping WFCO tripping

I never understood how the charger works. I thought it was built into the WFCO and somehow charged when I was on shore power. Not an external charger. Seems that way, my battery has always kept charge so far. Just to be clear I have the WFCO-8735-P. I think that diagram is a tad different then...
  • Post in thread: Help with tripping WFCO tripping

The output from the Samlex (invertor) is going to the input (pictured in red). The inverter is just tied onto the Pos and Neg of deep cycle battery.
  • Post in thread: Help with tripping WFCO tripping

Ohhhhhhhhhh! I got it now. Just in case of operator error (not flipping the switch), having the converter connected to shore power will insure there are no issues. So, I was creating a power loop with the Samlex inverter. Got it. You all have been extremely helpful. This winter project...
  • Post in thread: Help with tripping WFCO tripping

Yea, that will be just for shore power or the generator. I think I would need the mate though for the Honda generator.
  • Post in thread: Help with tripping WFCO tripping

Thanks all for the help. Let me process the information now, haha.

It just looks like that. I had a double take also.
