ok so seems for my issues EG4 new firmware has resolved it very nicely. now when in self consume mode it shows power from solar or batteries going to backup icon not the house. I guess that is how they want it. also seems the CT's were reversed and that was part of the issue. so it seems...
exactly this is a bug if you have to interact with the system to get solar to feed into inverter again once battery runs down, it should run on grid only until solar can take the load again, as other inverters work, (solarc for ex)
don't really want to spend more money to get a feature this inverter is advertised to have and support, self consume mode or Solar/Battery/Grid priority. I will hope that they solve this with software or the CT offset helps reduce the grid feed.
i am not actually seeing anything really going into the grid. when you watch on the inverter screen which updates much faster those steps happen in under 21 seconds, it does show a flow to the grid for a few seconds but I show no export on the graphs or totals on phone app it was just freaking...
I only have arrows on the CT's that were in a small white box. as for messing with the pin out to determine which is which I have no interest as mine is working fine without the reverse feature enabled. my issue earlier when I first changed it back and then saw it back to enabled as reverse...
I killed the grid connection at the meter and everything continued on fine on battery and PV but now it is raining hard and dark but the graphic updated to back up. so i guess its just a detector now for voltage if grid is up or down. but operation is same as 1011.
yes it was on exfat I have a mac. did the format change and it worked fine. also did it with the grid off so it just restarted on using solar/batteries after the firmware update started. I did see the flashing light in the USB but i think earlier he used a adapter from SSD memory without light.
hey please explain top balance or shoot me a reference. I used LL's and just deep cycled them 2x to shutdown since then seem fine. I kill battery at 10% now.
well back to 10.11 by EG4 but still no-one answers teh question if there is a bug in 11.11 why they release it with a higher number than 10.11 that has the bug fixed. Now that I look at the data for the 4 hours I ran on 11.11 I don't see any errors anyway. fyi SS guys you didn't need to...
Sadly that is not what is happening. It never goes into standby and I am running in self-consume mode. so It should only hit grid when no batteries (as in the am early) and. no solar which there was over 1000 watts but it never returned to feeding in solar. that is why I said only to ways to...
thanks man it seems like he just couldn't grasp what I was showing and telling him, where is Gilbert in this? he is the link to lux power who i assume are the ones updating the firmware. funny i didn't see any indicator light for standby just the normal run green light too,
little more to it than that, if you running in self-consume then it will only use grid if no solar output and batteries are dead or below min discharge amount or volts. yet there is a bug we are discussing now about the solar not reactivating,
I think you are still missing the forest for the trees. In self consume mode by your own manual, the order of supply is solar/battery/grid, the inverter should never lock itself into bypassing load to grid period (I don't care if you call it standby)! Otherwise, you defeat the idea of self...
Well it is not as good as 1011 as it still seems to bounce when it makes the transition back to batteries and PV from the grid. see in pic 1011 does not show that bounce so not sure what is causing that but no feed back to grid which was my main concern.
More proof that the CT's were not reversed until the box was checked yesterday, it just didn't show up since I was running on solar and batteries until 5am today,
Hey all I tried to see if Gilbert had any idea but he didn't so now I will throw it out there. last three days my system is not switching back to solar but staying on grid. it is producing the correct 400V or so but without any load and the inverters just says on grid it worked fine since June...
so its official this new firmware does not work correctly and i want to revert but i think Gilbert is asleep in Hawaii at this hour so maybe Marcus is up and about? it not only bounces back and forth it started to export again with. that function disabled. see below. i killed the grid feed but...
Yes Rhino it is solved. in my case it seems was a two fold issue. The firmware makes a major change to how the option of self consume works. it does now what it is supposed to that is first solar/Battery then grid last. no more import and export period. only import when the solar is gone...
I agree and only authorized the firmware update. he took it upon himself to flip the CT's without asking me or knowing what direction the arrows were pointing. I had confirm those many days before while working with Colt and Brayden. So I am a bit pissed and even more that the password has...
Nope I am wrong it is updating firmware by eg4 remotely and that forces it to pull power from grid. I think the two times I saw that was when I updated from 10.11 early today and now while they are either redoing that update or restoring the old firmware 10.11, until it finishes I cannot tell...
