  • quality inverter?

I guess this site was redone since my other inverter posts are gone. I still look for a decent 24v pure sine inverter, 2000 watts. i see nothing but Chinese inverters with bad reviews. Any recommendations?
  • BattGO Wiring

So I am trying to wire up my BattGO to my BYD battery through an adapter from logic tech. The BattGO harness has nine wires and the 8s wiring harness has of course 8 wires. Has anyone figured this out? offer me advice pls. The harness that came with the adapter has a different end that doesn't...
  • BMS? or no BMS?

I think I remember Will talking about not using one. My BYD 4.5 Batteries will be connected(two) as a 48-volt system. I am wondering about just hooking them up in series after I first check their voltage. I ran into this, wheelchairdriver.com/BMS.htm The article mentions the BMS as a wonderful...
  • dealing with voltage

I put together the parts for my hybrid solar/wind system a while back. Now I have been going over things. My wind power is a 48v three-wire system, but the manufacturer says to be prepared to handle a possible 225v. I admit this is probably in a hurricane. But I planned on hooking the wind gen...
  • victron battery protect

It has lousy reviews on Amazon. Something else in its place? a different site recommended a 200 amp fuse between the batteries and the inverter. I picture a 50 amp auto circuit reset breaker between the battery and the charge controller. Then any excess power is diverted by the charge...
  • BYD Battery stacking

I am curious if these battery packs could be stacked right on top of each other? If they would be damaged.
  • Outback FM 60 aux. output

Hi, I see how to adjust the aux output. I'm slightly confused as to where the aux output is? Is Outback thinking I will use an SSR? I've never hooker up an SSR relay either. This is planing for the future, my controller is not hooked up yet.
  • BYD batteries finally showed up.

I ordered mine on Nov. 27th. and they shipped on Dec. 13. They arrived here Jan. 14. they were well wrapped and look ok. Heavy! Funny, While I wasn't in a hurry for them a person gets anxious after a while when they lay out their hard-earned money. I noticed some new videos about these...
  • wire issues

I thought I read about using nonstranded wire for ac. The way I understand it stranded wire is for dc stuff. I was looking at the wires I took from a dead washing machine and all the wires are stranded and marked for 600v. I keep trying to learn more and I am curious if what I read on this is wrong.
  • Thoughts on the system i am building.

I am getting ready to build a small home with a 24-volt setup for running medical devices that total 10 amps at night time. I will also use 12 volts auto LED lights on a separate line off a fuse block. I am debating what size pure sine inverter to buy? 1500 or 2000 watts? So two 158 watt...
  • Video i wish to see.

I would like Will to take his 24 volts, 2000-watt setup and add a wind turbine and make a video on how he would wire this. I think a hybrid setup would work great. I plan on using such a setup in a cabin.
  • wire size?

I have a Reliable 2500 watt inverter that came with the two thin positive wires and two negative wires. There are no markings on them and I'm wondering if Making #6 wire cables would be better than what came with the inverter? Have some #6 and the right ends.
  • 12 volt wiring.

I am about to start building a cabin and I want to use LED car lights in a string run to my 12-volt fuse box I will use off a conversion box. I anticipate no problems accept for inspections. I wonder is there any codes or rules about running 12 volts in a house? Thoughts or experiences?
  • Solar and wind combined.

I am planning on almost 500 watts solar(48v) Possible 95 volts with these amorphous panels. at 15amps feeding an MPPT. I have not bought the MPPT yet. I also will be feeding 48v volts from a 400 watt turbine. I am not sure what it will do power-wise, 400watts, likely 200watts Through a Schneider...
  • Understanding VOC

I was reviewing my system, that I haven't hooked up yet. My four 158 watt panels. each put out VOC 42.75=171v. my FM60 manual says to stay below 150. VOC is unloaded? So if my batteries are hooked up? Wouldnt that make for a load? I also have a diversion load controller hooked up to the...
