My Renogy 3000, lives in the living room...twin fans, but even switching on the washing machine and coffee machine or freezer does not activate the fans.....at nominal load,...a very very very faint hum...but that's when have no normal background noise. I got rid of a Chinese branded one, it...

Fixed. Pulled the stupid tiny power connector cable without noticing...>...now it's back. I have no idea what happened... Was just adjusting some battery cable runs on the battery bank...And yes the shunt went down as planned. ...no noise, no alarm, no bang , no smoke...

This might be , just might be, the start of a new solar season.....

  • Post in thread: AC recharging at 14.6 volts over wintertime.

My setup at home , the loads are refrigeration, TV, IT stuff...averages out at about 120 Ah usage..and my cheap rate electricity runs from 1am to 7am..so it has proved invaluable this winter season. I'll just see how it all pans out until the sun returns in February... I'm not one for opening up...

When the resistor arrives...it seems it doesn't matter which end goes to the neg inverter to battery POS.......correct?

  • Post in thread: Big TV for my Tiny flat - Great Experiment

It didn't work...no stressing about it..not enough ooomph basically. I use my HP 4k 32" Monitor on 12v anyways so I don't actually need it. I've already got my refrigeration and other stuff on the inverter supply 24/7, so , as I cannot randomly add solar panels ad infinitum all the time....I'll...

Yes, beginning to think on same lines. I might save up for the Victron 30amp. The batteries, well they are supposed to be deep discharge , leisure but then again, everything can disappoint. The Victron Smartshunt does report 100%SOC...but the issue being , after SOC gets to 100%, the voltage...

Currently, I have a HP 32" monitor running 12v , well via a laptop car adapter to boost to 20v. Runs great with my Google 4k dongle. Now, going to experiment with my 55" Toshiba TV....Just waiting for a little extension cable which I can connect to the TV plug... The TV only needs 80 watts to...

Thank you! Under MPPT conditions, bulk, abs, float cycle just works... February should see an improvement!
  • Post in thread: Renogy 3000w Inverter Charger model

Simple question here, so placing the question here.... I want to upgrade to this Inverter Charger, but need it to charge the battery bank at specific times only from the AC input 240volts. I don't think there is a timing option available in the config, but there is the option to prioritize...
  • Post in thread: Inverter to battery

When you are doing a bit of tidying up work and need to disconnect the inverter from the battery, how do you get rid of the latent charge inside the inverter so that it doesn't spark up on re connect...?

Still need me big coat though.....?️❄️

40A-12V Intelligent 7 Stage Mains Battery Charger I have been using this charger since November to compensate for zero solar this winter. The bank is 5 X 100ah in parallel sealed lead acid, calcium. I have noticed that this charger is doing its job for the 6 hours nighttime at my Economy 7...
