I've seen Andy test LF280K cells a lot with the ZKE EBC-A40L tester and often the results showed 280Ah or more.
Andy shares his results on his site : https://off-grid-garage.com/battery-data/
A parameter which is not given in all these tests carried out by forum members is what was the...
@MrPablo @shvm
New Cut-Off Charging Logic from version 1.17.3 is planned for LFP.
As you use Li-ion we will certainly have to prepare a special YAML for you.
Good point, I updated the table. The first test is done during the day, in this case the AIO turns on because it detects a signal on the PV input. The second test is done at night and in this case the AIO does not turn on. In both cases the AIO switch is OFF. Unfortunately no charge from PV in...
Hello Riden experts,
While looking for a good lab power supply, I first looked at Wanptek then I became interested in Riden thanks to you.
I just requested an offer on their Alibaba site for a complete assembled set RD6024 1440W see the product link below.
Am I right in thinking that this set...
I'm sorry but @arzaman couldn't get the Wire version to work with Atom S3.
This doesn't mean it's impossible.
The RX and TX pins should be this one. To test.
https://github.com/Sleeper85/esphome-jk-bms-can/blob/cdbae7f927fdce304ae243567c722bf8b0951abc/config/config_atom-s3-lite-esp32-s3.yaml
Ok I will check the ESP32 uptime.
I just reduced the offset to 0.8V (to test).
I also added messages in the logs to analyze the behavior.
Here we go again on Bulk.
Thanks for your help.
Wait and see.
I don't have a JK-BMS-PB. Maybe you need to configure the BMS dip switches to have two slaves without a master?
So BMS1 with address 1 and BMS2 with address 2? Address 0 is that of the Master.
I imagine that only the Master can communicate on the CAN bus which is no longer necessary. Maybe...
The multi-bms code is ready to test but I don't know if it can work with your config.
I would need a drawing to understand how your system is built today.
So you have 4 batteries today?
2x BMS JK-B2A24S15P?
2x BMS JK-PB2A16S15P?
How many inverters?
Are you using Atom S3 Lite + Atomic CAN Base?
@uksa007
I did the tests below with a battery at +/- 53.1V
I set the offset to 3V to match the condition of the box marked "A".
Under these conditions when booting the ESP32 the charging status should be on Bulk but we remain stuck on Wait.
Why ?
First, during boot, JK-BMS information is...
Yesterday I did my own tests with another 16S LF280K pack with flexible bus bar and soldered round terminals.
Terminal with oxidation, a thin white film can be seen.
So, I decided yesterday not to use grease on my terminals.
Measured yesterday with YR1035+, 16S LF280K battery with flexible...
I just tested a Luyuan Tech 16S LF280K v2 grade A pack. I tested the full pack but not the individual cells.
Here is the report provided by Amy Wan.
The testing procedure is as follows:
Charge and balance at 3.45v/cell
Charge at 3.55v/cell
Discharge (2440W for 6h) and stop as soon as a...
Your config is not good. You must not connect the canh, canl coming from your BMS Master. Only canh and canl coming from esp32 must be connected.
With your current config you have two Masters sending different instructions... It's anarchy 😅
Sofar should work with bms name 'PYLON' and protocol...
The multi-BMS version in the dev branch works for both JK-BMS models.
Please note, this is a multi-BMS solution with a single ESP32.
With the new JK-PB series only one RS485 connection is required with max 16 BMS.
With the old JK-B series all BMS are connected to the ESP32.
An ESP32 supports...
Does your AIO work well today with version 6.63 ?
Is firmware 6.63 a "without battery" version ?
Do you (or your friends) get an 03 alarm on the screen when the battery is disconnected ?
Has anyone here ever managed to get the firmware and upgrade tool from Deye?
I emailed this morning saying my inverter was off-grid on land with no internet access. I await their response...
@virus100b @cinusik
Concerning the RS485 connection to the JK-BMS PB series, my project is based on the component developed by @txubelaxu. If you have any questions or problems regarding BMS sensors we can discuss them in the discussion below...
What you need to watch out for is the ESP32 uptime which you can see in HA.
My test version has been up for several days with esp-idf. (ESP32 DevKit v1)
If I'm confirmed that it is stable for Atom with arduino, I will put it in the readme.
Thanks for your test 😉
Charge and discharge amps are sent with ID 0x351 for all CAN protocol types and there has been no change in the format of what is sent between 1.16.3 and 1.16.4.
How did you configure your inverter?
Battery type: 2
Lithium type: what choice do you have?
The new “MPPT multi-point scanning” option interests me a lot.
I'm going to upgrade my inverter to test this.
This brings me to a possible correction of the shading problems see the subject below:
https://powerforum.co.za/topic/17526-curious-mppt-behavior/
Thanks for sharing this.
I don't have any stability or reboot problems with my ESP32, it was a suggestion that I mentioned following the strange behavior that I noticed but I monitor the uptime now and it is stable, no problem of this side. It's only 5:44:50 because I made the videos this morning with reboot test to...
Ok so no relation with our jk-bms-can project.
You will certainly have better luck asking your questions directly on the batmon GitHub.
For your information, batmon is therefore your data source and HA must subscribe to your batmon, you must create a bridge.
You can take inspiration from this...
Regarding the multi-bms version, if you don't have a PVbrain2 PCB, the YAMLs you can use are
multi-bms_wire_one-esp.yaml
multi-bms_ble_one-esp.yaml
multi-bms_mix_one-esp.yaml
As indicated in the name of the YAML it is a solution with a single ESP32.
FYI an ESP32 can support max 3x UART and 3x...
55.2 - 2.5 = 52.7V
So according to you this battery (at rest) which is at 71% and 53.32V is no longer allowed to charge?
It's a 280Ah pack, there are 199A left, so I can still charge 80Ah.
@ChrisG
V1.16.3 Sleeper85 : ID 0x379 will be sent when choosing protocol 2 or 4 (Battery Capacity for Victron, Sol-Ark and Luxpower)

V1.16.5 the new Balancing function is still in the testing phase
V1.16.6 Improvement of CAN ID 0x355, sending 100% only at the end of the absorption phase, adding bytes [04:05] and [06:07]
@tonystrullu @ChrisG @MrPablo
Here is what I suggest as code regarding ID 0x355 and sending the SOC...
Well, I see that you have noticed the same problem that I mentioned regarding the fact that it is necessary to wait a little to receive the information from JK-BMS.
Good to have tested, thank you for your feedback. I think there is firmware with and without battery but no mixing of PV and AC inputs. Chances are this inverter is built like the diagram I posted in the links below, if that's true then technically it's not possible to have a mix of PV and AC...
The specification says that the JST 1.25 port can support 1A max.
It scares me too, especially in the case of a short circuit, and during assembly in my final box I will also connect after the BMS to + and - of the battery, behind my MCCB breaker.
Otherwise I measured 0.02A and 52.69V for...
I confirm, this model is also sold as EAsun or PowLand SMX II 3.6kW / 5.6kW.
Same box except for the location of the screen which is different, same options, same protocol and works with the same iPower 2.1 software.
@ the_colorist
An opinion on this hybrid inverter ?
Some people don't like seeing this MPP tracking every 30 minutes.
Below is what a Deye Hybrid does not do.
Same string, just a different inverter.

Deye 06.09.2023 - Very nice curve but...
