Weird. I have 2 of them now and don’t have any issues with it. I only use modbus communication and have a home automation computer keeping tabs on them. Maybe I have a couple that weren’t built on a Monday or Friday lol
What are your thoughts of Will Prowse’s videos on the EG4 version of this inverter? Ignore if this was brought up already in this thread. I had no where near the issues he is having.
I have one running 24-7 at my house. Setting up one at my in-laws house. Once you get the settings figured out they seem to work great. 9mwh ran through mine so far.
This may not be the case anymore but when I bought mine a year ago GSL mentioned the inverter was not designed to run off grid without batteries. I know you are still connected to the grid but it may have something to do with how they have the code written.
Some of the others here may have a better updated answer but from what I have heard is that load 2 settings are not implemented yet on the firmware. It would be called smart load I believe when it is available.
I am not sure you can but the dongle does have the ability to do that. Which is what I was kinda worrisome for me, having a device ran off a server in China with the ability to control the power at my house. This is one of the many reasons I got rid of the wifi dongle and only went with modbus...
