JK-B2A8S20P BMS gps port fried my USB to ttl converter

I didn’t know it was 25v until I plugged it in. I would have thought a low level output port would have been 5v max. 25v is unusual. I think it is to make you buy the JK ttl to RS485 converter. I assume if I had used a none isolated converter I wouldn’t of had this problem because I wouldn’t...

JK-B2A8S20P BMS gps port fried my USB to ttl converter

i Was using an isolated converter so I would have to connect the positive. What I don’t understand is why would a ttl output with signal voltages of 3 volts have a Vcc voltage of 25volts. I think my bms must be faulty. Comments under the video on Andy’s channel suggested I should have been able...

JK-B2A8S20P BMS gps port fried my USB to ttl converter

After watching Andy’s video over at the off grid garage about connecting the JK BMS to my raspberry pi. I ordered an isolated usb to ttl converter and followed the instruction. All the connections are correct but my converter went up in smoke. It turns out the voltage coming out of the BMS was...

    My Fogstar cells have arrived

My A Grade Eve cells from Fogstar have arrived. Said delivery on or before 19th October, they arrive today 14th. They look great not completely flat when you put them side by side. I don’t know if they they should be, being A Grade. The biggest gap is 3mm. Anyway now the fun starts. Added some...

Anyone bought eve cells from Fogstar batteries in the UK

Did you order A or B grade? I went with A grade, my JK bms has been sat here in its box for a few weeks, just waiting for the cells

Anyone bought eve cells from Fogstar batteries in the UK

I did decide to order from fogstar. My 8 x 280ah cells will dispatch 19th Oct. I got quotes from Alibaba for 304ah cells for what I am paying fogstar for 280ah cells. But the benefits of buying from a UK company with much quicker delivery seems like an easy choice. Can’t wait for them to arrive...

Any fellow British souls installing solar?

Thanks, no just some sort of legs at different lengths for each month. But computer controlled angle selection sounds cool. Could put them flat against the wall during storms.

    What cells to choose

I have decided to buy my 8 x cells from Fogstar. Now I have to choose which cells either 280Ah B grade or 304Ah B grade for £136 more or 280Ah A grade for £272 more what do you think?

Any fellow British souls installing solar?

I haven’t made the system for setting the angle yet. Still working on it, but the prototype hinge is up with two panels.

Any fellow British souls installing solar?

New the the forum myself, Manchester area. Had my test system for about a year. I started with 6 x 265W panels facing east on my shed roof with a Victron mppt charge controller and a bank of 4 old car batteries at 24v. With a Epever 2KW inverter, has been great for learning how it all works. I...

Anyone bought eve cells from Fogstar batteries in the UK

I am looking to build my first 24v LiFePO4 battery for my system, I am unsure about using alibaba even though lots of people seem to have no problems. But I have come across Fogstar batteries in the UK who say they source their cells direct from EVE. Their reviews for vape cells are very good...
