I was just given a driver from the supplier and to great success. Sorry for the pictures, I love documenting in case some people need help down the track.
Now on COM4
What settings am I to be adjusting? Selecting the MCU window, and reading the instructions, it says the 'Design...
hi we are looking for settings for the daly BMS app.
your answer does not apply to the questions
the first sentence:
"I have a Daly bms, but the manuals don’t explain the settings and exactly what they do / affect"
if anyone can assist it will be a great aid. I am surprised that despite the...
Great news all. I arrived home at 2:40am to find the PSU was at 3.5V and the amps reading 0AMPS
Unplugged the terminals from the battery and the battery read 3.508V!! Woohoo. I'm going to update my opening post with the solution once I successfully charge the 4 batteries together in parallel...
WOOPS YOURE ABSOLUTEY RIGHT
its 8.8mV on the battery positive to inverter positive
I am super sorry, haven't gotten used to this clamp meter compared to my usual one
Wow, that sucks I already ordered 22AWG based on that. However, I heard a trick is to fold the exposed wire over itself and crimp.
I purchased a wire gauge measuring tool so will confirm for you all the exact size once it arrives.
Thnanks for your input Hedges. Ok, unplugged, I reset the PSU to 3.6V, turned it off, connected the terminals and switched the PSU back on.
PSU Currently reading 3.61-3.62V
Roughly 8 Amps.
Ok, I am plugging this cable into the monitor port of the BMS so it seems I am doing everything correct.
I launch 'BMS Tool' and receive this popup, which has been translated by the Alibaba Supplier.
"It says, sorry, no available port is detected in the current computer, please insert the...
Based on the measurements, the busbars are 1/8” x 1”. Using the ampacity chart, the maximum amps able to be run is 270A.
The maximum draw of my system will not exceed 200A (inverter wont exceed 160A and
the bms is 200A)
I had to create 3x busbars with a different thickness to the ones that came with my EVE lifepo4 cells. The main reason was to successfully connect one pair of the parallel cells in series successfully as illustrated in the photos.
The new busbars are 1/8" thick, unsure of the size of the...
The only setting that I have that reads 3.4V is the balanced open start volt. Photos attached. Any clues? I think I have seen the charge MOS thrning on and off in the app
Hey guys! Very excited to finally wire all my batteries up. Using a Daly "Smart" BMS
I have 4 cells wires in series @ 280aH or so.
Cell 1 negative to the positive after the fuse reads 14V DC
However, on the BMS P- to positive of the fuse, I am reading 10.28VDC
Any ideas why this is? I've only...
Okay, I launched BMS tool on windows 10 and suddenly it changed to to 14VDC
Can anyone tell me why the SOC is reading 0% in the software? How should I setup the software? I havent calibrated anything yet.
I've tightened the nuts far more than they were before using a mini wrench with your instructions. I am using grub screws I think they are called with a nut on the top .
I am still very anxious to try tighten them any further as I have no measure of how tight they can go before I damage them...
I checked the size of the wires with a wire gauge I ordered. The wires fit 22AWG-23AWG. Those terminals are marked for 0.75 - 1.5mm2 = 19 - 16 AWG.
Im still out of luck. I ordered some terminals from element14, but I got the stud size wrong as they need to be M6
Had to hit the Scan All button on the Info page.
Lonely thread but I'm sure it will help someone one day!! Am I okay to connect this to my inverter or should I change some settings?

Glad I could help. Honest made my day when I first read this.
Ive wired my cells in series and connected via bluetooth. What does the greyed out “balance” icon indicate in this photo? I want to make sure my settings are correct before I apply a load via the inverter
Is there a battery voltage setting ? where is that? I have 4s 12V which would be 3650mV * 4 = 14,600mV
I adjusted the under and over voltage as per suggestion. What about the Under voltage release?
They are in range. I measured all of the cells and they are just above 3.3V.
I can charge my battery with a benchtop power supply perfectly fine without this happening, so let me know what you think.
Cool, I adjusted to suit this. How do the pictures below look?
I adjusted as per your instructions. Could you double check the temperature release settings on discharge and charge are okay? I don't really understand what this means.
