So far so good, with the batteries sharing info, but not a controlling bms.
It seems to have fixed the following:
Multiplus doesn't get stuck in absorption. (the bms wouldn't tell it to go to float)
The multiplus will now switch back to renewable once fully charged.
Mppt/Multiplus stop...
I just changed a few settings, and am going to see if DVCC On with controlling BMS Off will work. It should make the battery BMS act like the shunt with a temperature sensor.
@Justice12t thanks for confirming im not the only one.
I didn’t even bother with SS this time since the last two times I contacted them they never got back to me.
The low temp shut off, was the main reason i was using DVCC. The EG4 don’t share available AH capacity either (one of the things SS...
Denver just went threw a couple of cold nights for us, my Ruvvi sensor showed -2F on the outside of the van.
I have a full victron setup with two 12v 400ah EG4-LL connected and running DVCC. I set it up with DVCC to prevent low temp charging and have overall better battery life.
I was...
On the Orion DC-DC ignore the 15A output in your case and look at the watt output. (360w) The Orion is only rated for that much when cold, when it heats up it derates the output. Victron says the derate is 1.5% output for every 1C above 40C. I normally see ~10% less max watt output than...
Attached is my VRM, which i can only guess that my Consumption is what is used from the batteries while not charging.
Any ideas or things to check @SignatureSolarPeyton @SignatureSolarJames
I had the shunt in place for a while after i switched to the battery BMS controlling the DVCC, and had the same issue. I've since moved the shunt to measure my Orion DC-DC chargers.
The battery has the information, its just not communicating it to the Cerbo GX
I'm running two 12v EG4-LL V2 with my Victron setup. The batteries are controlling the charging VIA DVCC, which works fine.
The inconvenience i have is i can't seem to get the batteries to tell Victron the Consumed AH nor the remaining AH Capacity.
It doesn't affect the usability but it...
After i reached out to James, we were able to come to a fair arrangement.
I picked up the replacement batteries today, and installed them. I did have to reach out to tech support during testing. The BMS software doesn't show all the connected batteries, like the other batteries did, but they...
James, i’m wondering when should i expect that DM?
I know I have a unique situation, which is why I tired to find a solution for over a month, before i made the drive. I was disappointed and still hoping for a resolution yesterday as i returned them to your office.
Before i dropped them off...
@SignatureSolarPeyton I do like the fact that you hand picked emails between me and the RMA team, while saying i'm posting things out of context.
I've been trying for over a month to find a way to return these batteries, which no viable option was provided to me by signature solar. When i said...
Dropping off the batteries now.
They still wanted to know if i wanted the correct batteries with no additional discount. Won’t compensate me for having to drive them back.
They took the batteries and told me they will process the refund end of day. Which i was not ok with.
So had to wait on...
@S610 I've been trying to get this resolved for two months, and its been made clear that they don't care.
Sold batteries that didn't support my request.
Then was sold the cable that was i was "missing". (if i had the correct batteries)
Took 2 weeks for tech support to confirm i had the wrong...
Getting ready to make the drive from Denver, Co, back to Sulphur Springs, Tx to return the three batteries and DIY replacements. Since they required me to source a pallet and battery boxes, then store for at least 48 hours to ship them back. I also don't trust them at this point, to be honest if...
