What I should do is put an open and closing quotation marks or write "best" on my earlier comment! You just said it! They (retailer) should act as a liaison between the customers and manufacturers. When retailer approach the manufacturer, manufacturer knows what model they talk about and is...
Well said PsychoticEpisode!
SS should pursue a policy making the shipping company bearing responsibility for free shipping when replacement. is required Customer paying the full cost deserve to get their merchandise without damage. Sellers can add insurance cost on the shipping cost instead...
The best answer they could give you is "consult an electrician".
Put it this way, product manufacturer should specified how and what should be done, and the electrician would followed the instruction, he just make sure that something, for example, a GFCI outlet must be used when you plug your...
Make sense to consider. I follow your lead. Thanks for the suggestion. And the inverter specs said:
And I don't agree with Will Prowse using a 12 awg extension cable to connect to the output terminals.
Signature Solar just told me he gave the wrong amps for the 3K inverter. It is 25 amps not...
We simply cannot generalize all cases as every case is different. There are many players involve from customer to seller. I am sure seller would have the merchandise well packed and ship out. Then come the shipper who may be a good one on record. Then come the delivery guy who don't care at...
Thanks for reading what I put forth.
The extension cord with a plug I used is custom made with $13 Leviton 20A plug (not 15 A) and 10 AWG strand wire ( the plug recommended using only stranded wire). The idea using extension cord came from Will P's video. The inverter has recommended using 10...
I was in that mentality when I first wanted to do a DIY Solar and I thought 600W or 1000W solar panels would be able to do wonders. So I bought 2 x 100 SP with a 30A Charge Controller. They were simply kept in the storage.
Then I bought 2x320W SP, a 3KW Growatt Inverter and EGC 5.12 KH...
If you have invested so much money in the s panels. You would want the supports to be strong and stable. You should use pressured treated lumber if it is touching the ground or raise it up. Based on what were shown on the pictures. If wind blow from underside the pane, it may tilt over if...
Thanks rmaddy for your feedback. The reason I want to use 100W panels is because I already bought two of them 6 months ago and thinking of buying another four to be consistency with. Will that make sense instead of buying/adding the 100 W, I buy two 200W or two 300W to supplement the two 100W...
Well, the wattage of a solar panel I see is mostly depended on the surface area using similar solar cells. A 100w panel is 20"x40" and a 200w panel is 26" x 65" - double that surface area of 100W. And I bought the 100W for $74 a piece, a 200W cost about $170 to $200.
I don't see any saving on...
Well, I don't want to be the firsts to buy that. I would rather go with one that already tested. I just ordered the Growatt 3K -ES model with EG4 battry when it reopened for pre-order yesterday -the day they rolled out the EG4 Inverter. Will have to wait a month to get my inverter?
I change my mind. Now I want to buy the ES Model that is Growatt SpF 3000TL LVM-ES . I like the unit works without a battery as well. But Signature Solar is not accepting order at this moment. I don't see MPPSolar has a similar 3K model!
DIY off-grid solar can get federal and state credits for my home? Do you have to get a City permit to get the credit? I live in LA, California. Did you get it?
BTW, what do you mean by this?
If you have ac input from the wall. You can fix this connecting a short jumper wire from ac input neutral to ac output neutral.
Why do I need an AC input since I have a DC solar panel input?
