I was about to reply and say, "tried that". But, you were right!
The first thing I did was go out there and check the wires, everything was still nice and snug. So, after you said the same thing I thought, I went out again, with the BMS app open on my phone. Checked every single lug on every...
Hello all. I wanted to share my experience with you for my second order.
I ordered from Dongguan Lighting New Energy Technology twice now. My first order was for 16 280ah EVE cells. The batteries came pretty fast from China and very well packaged. All within .01v, new with QR codes.
My second...
I'm getting to a point where I can start sharing my progress on my RV. I have a 42' 5th wheel that I plan to use primarily solar power. You have to pay electric at most spots, and we are full time RVers, so I wanted a way to gouge at the high CA electric bills. Here is what I have done so far...
Well, after reading that I am completely discouraged from them. I wanted to use the little spots I had left on my rv's roof (where I can't fit more panels) but now I think I'll just keep it as is. Thanks for the info!
Mistyped, it's a 24v quattro. Apologies.
Semper Fi!
I don't think you are allowed to post external links. It goes against the forum rules I believe. I'll send you a PM with the info. I'll post it here if a mod says it's alright.
My full setup is...
2x Victron Multiplus 24v 3000w
Victron Orion 24v to 12v step down
Victron Link power...
Fair enough. I'll post the link. If it isn't allowed, hopefully a mod just removes the link and doesn't ban me ?
I agree. They are nice sites. It has been a few years, well a decade since I've been down there. I'm sure they are still just as nice.
Thank you! We already dislike this rig. We...

Here is the Alibaba link to the vendor I used. I reached out to him today, and he is out of stock of the 280ah batteries I bought. He does have other batteries or other sizes and types. I cannot...
That is a really cool idea brought to life. We, wife and I, are full time RVers and also very fed up with the "quality" of RVs. I'll have to show her this. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the build cost you to do the interior?
Hopefully that's all it was, checking all of my other connections now on both builds. All seem to be tight. Doesn't mean one didn't loosen up though. Once I get home, that breaker will be dissected and see both probabilities. Thanks for your input!
Sorry for the late reply. Yes I did, they are all about 10 to 20ah over.
I could see how you would think that. No, they did not ask me to post about them and no I was not paid in any way to post about them. I was/am just trying to help people with good sources for batteries. There are a lot of...
I'm trying to configure it as the trailer came. Two poles of 120. Sorry, I'm literate in house wiring and 180* split. This RV has two 120v (dual 50amp breaker) feeding each side of the box. I'm guessing I would run it as a normal 220 @180*?
I knowni don't need two CCGXs, the way I have it now I...
I can't disconnect right now. To hot out and need to keep the family cool. I can this evening when it cools down.
Here is a rough, very rough, drawing of how I set it up. The wire lengths are all the same, hots, grounds, neutrals, everything, so ignore the line lengths in the drawing, was just...
I don't have the CCGX connected while configuring. Stopped trying after the second disconnect as I stated. When configuring, I just sit outside at the inverter. Configuring is not an issue. I can use both ve bus config and ve config plugged straight into the MPs. I originally tried through the...
The panel dimensions are the same. Not sure how they are made. Basically I'd save 10 bucks per panel with the 12v and save on the fuses that would be required on the 24v setup.
That is exactly how I have them wired now. Yet, if I don't use AC out 2, I get an error when in VE configuration.
I have Red in to the master AC IN 1, red out of AC out 1 and into the breaker panel.
I have black in to AC IN1 on the slave, out of AC1 into the breaker panel.
Now they both...
Still a great idea! I showed the other half and now it looks like I'll be making a small one for us, when you can't get into a place with the 42'. She likes the ability to have it your way, now I'm stuck building it ?. Thanks for the share! Cool project!
I'm very sorry if this is in the wrong area. Please feel free to move or delete if needed. I wasn't sure where to ask this.
I have 2 Multiplus 3000. I want to run one leg of my 50amp RV to each so, they are both feeding a separate side of the breaker box. This part is pretty easy for me, just a...
That's is exactly why I came here, I'm missing something and now my mind.
It works flawlessly hooked up like that non configured. Once I configure it, send the configuration, the slave gets an overload.
Maybe I'm missing something in the config? I mean, it's not rocket science. The systems (Ve...
I saw those thank you. I am looking at RICH solar. Seem to have good reviews. Don't know if any one on here has got them or had any issues. 189 for 12v and 199 for 24v and about 6 inches shorter than NEWPOWA. That 6" doesn't seem like a lot, but on the top of my RV, that 6" per panel actually...
Thanks for the move! Wasn't sure, I apologize.
That is what I figured. I'm not going to buy another gx just because I want to run each leg separately. I'll just parallel everything and run them as a set instead of separate. Thanks for the info!
That is kinda what I am doing now. I plan to do strut bars for rails and strut cone nuts. This way, if a panel goes out, removing it won't tear a hole in my roof. I'll mount tilt mounts to each panel, and then each mount to the strut bars. Adds about 60 extra pounds, but I'll take the ease of...
If I hadn't already bought the strut bars and strut cone nuts I probably would look into it. They are getting powder coated right now, so I wouldn't be able to return them.
I didn't want to just paint them and the nuts wouldn't slide as easy. I'll only have to touch up an end if I make a cut...
That is how I wired it for split. Only difference is my grounds are grounded to a grounding block from the MPs AC ins and outs and then grounded to the frame.
Wired that way, then configured for split, the slave overloads (overload light comes on and it turns off
I have in line fuses between my panels and my 24v and 48v panels separated. The breaker did not pop! I smelled a foul electrical burning and found this in my feed in panel. None of my other breakers were burnt up, just this one. It was burnt up on the side that goes to my SCC. I was able to flip...
I would if I could. I "beautified" the wiring. I could show you the connection at the MPs and maybe see it at the panel if I could get an angle.
When I bought this, there was a wire rats nest (behind the false panel like most). I pretty much tore all that out and re-ran it line by line to...
It won't let me configure them through the CCGX. I mean it will, but when I use the VE bus configure, it disconnects and I have to reconnect it each time I got to VE configure. Its annoying, so I just plug into them from the port on the multi itself. The CCGX displays the one MP its plugged...
