I'm looking at my charger. It says AC input 100-120 VAC. DC output 14.6 Vdc. It's a battery charger for lithium batteries sold by Amperetime, the same manufacturer as the batteries.
This sounds to me like a 12V charger. Would that be right? Is that information adequate to tell?
I am so grateful for the help I receive here. The little back and forths which take place just shows how thorough the thoughts are behind the words and also gives multiple points of view to the same subject which allows for the user seeking assistance to apply it relevantly to their situation. I...
Yes, I definitely made some mistakes along the way. Phew! Thanks for setting that straight for me. I also have a battery charger which I can run off a generator if needed.
I have my appliances finally so I have real numbers to work with. Can you tell me if my array would be adequate to power...
I like that it has a grounding bar, bus bar and the breakers. But I already have the y connectors and i have planned out the inline fuses. I wasnt sure if i needed this. But it sounds like i dont. It sounds like it would be redundant.
i will screw things to a board on the wall. The charge...
I got it! I got the 2 50amp breakers mnedc50 and the quad enclosure for it! I think I am good now. Should i get a grounding busbar? I think the answer is yes. I guess I will need quite a bit of bare copper wire for the ground. I would use green copper wire outside and bare copper wire inside...
that would have eliminated the need for fuses between panel strings. All other fuses would still be necessary, if I am correct.
i have the inline fuses figured out. It is the 50a fuse before charge controller im trying to figure out. Can you tell me if this would work or show me a good one...
The charge controller is 100 V DC max. 4 strings of 3 panels each is 4s3p right? Is that a typo? Please clarify.
cables between solar panels and charge controller size would be 12awg? Battery specs say 6 awg battery cables to connect them together. Should i go with that? Then 2/0 cable from...

i think i found it. I s.ould get 2 of these?.1 for before and 1 for after charge controller
Thanks for your help with this. I am having a difficult time with evaluating my loads because none of the appliances have been purchased yet. I took your advice on eliminating what I can as well. If I just focus on a freezer, that is my main need. I found a chest freezer that says this: powered...
I wanted 1000watts and ordered 10 12v 100watt panels. Upon receipt and reading the instructions it says: the max parallel no more than 4, max in series no more than 12. Is this even possible? Have they reversed what is actually meant. The max in series should be 4 to my knowledge giving 48v. And...
I really appreciate your advice. I was able to purchase the Homeline 100A 6 spaces 12 circuits 120/240 V~ Max 50/60Hz load center. It says purchase separately circuit breakers, ground bar kit...
I almost have my system complete but I have hit a snag. Need to know if this will work like I thought:
- twelve 12v 100 watt panels hooked up 3s 4p
- renogy 40amp 12v/24v mppt charge controller
- four 12v 100ah LiFePO4 batteries hooked up 2s 2p
- 24v 2000 watt samlex inverter pure sine wave...
That makes sense. I should have more spaces. What about this one?

It appears to be single phase.
Hello! I am installing 12 panels with a 3s4p configuration. Im skipping the combiner box and using inline fuses with y connectors. I noticed the y connectors have two + symbols at the top of y where they combine. At the bottom is one - symbol. Can anyone explain what this means please? Also, can...
What would 4 strings of 3 give me?
i do not need to worry about doing 24v solar panels and doing 4 12v 00Ah batteries in parallel? Do i understand that correctly?
should i go with a highend inverter charger like samlex or magnum or would aims be a good choice? Or victron? Do you know which is...
yes, we have an 8 foot ground rod in the ground about 10 feet from the house and about 1 foot from the solar array. We have grounding cable connecting the array to the rod. We have cable hooking up the equipment inside to the rod as well attached to the inverter and dc breaker box. I understand...
I have a solar off grid system consisting of 12 100w 12v mono panels which are set up 3s4p with an inline fus at each string, 50a circuit breaker(acts as disconnect switch), renogy 40amp mppt charge controller, goes thrpugh another 50a circuit breaker, 4 LiFeBO4 batteries 100ah 12v hooked up...
thanks for the breakdown, that is really helpful to me , i am not super attached to the charge controller and i can change it for something else if need be, i was on the fence between twelve volt and twenty four volt , i can do whatever works, i still need an inverter and was going to get an...
1) i thought 150amp breaker because the class t fuse i have before the inverter is 150amp.
2) i dont need a subpanel for downstairs. Initially i thought i did but thats really for a detached garage or a large kitchen or an addition to the house. I no longer think that.
3) the house is 1408 sqft...
Is this a good 12a fuse?
https://www.amazon.com/Bussmann-ABC-12-Acting-Ceramic-Elect/dp/B000VWHSZC/ref=sr_1_10?dchild=1&keywords=12a+fuse&qid=1615533769&sr=8-10
does it matter fast acting or slow? Ceramic or not? Some say 250V, some say 600V. Which one do I need?
heres the fuse holder i was...
not superstore, solarstore. Its A1solarstore.com. Based in FL. They came up when i searched for buy solar panels or a similar search term to that. Ive never heard of them or any of the companies so it made no difference who i clicked on. After i checked several out, i went with them. They had...
