Hi Craig They cycles quoted seem to range from 15000 to 30000 but I have been mainly focusing on Yinlong batteries. No specif reason just trying to get some commonality. Also the warranty offered seems to fluctuate between 18 months and 36 months. The best price I have got from AliBaba is...
  • Post in thread: 24v VS 48v

Hi Go with 48v and hire someone to do the install. You can regard the project as a paid lesson and it should give you some confidence about using it. In my view if you are nervous - then don’t as the stress will make you error prone. In the learning cycle you are regarded as consciously...

  • Post in thread: Change over time delay - Growatt 5000 ES

Hi Thanks for the response and throwing some clarity on the issue. Yes, I was asking about the transfer time - tossing up between the MPPSolar ( which boasts zero transfer time) and the Growatt. This will be replacing an older MPPSolar. Thanks and Regards.
  • Post in thread: Change over time delay - Growatt 5000 ES

Hi I had looked at that option but would need a lot of power ( crypto mining rigs) and with the cost of energy nowadays I want to run them off solar and battery. I already have the panels and battery just need an upgraded inverter system. Thanks and Regards
  • Post in thread: No more paralleling JBD BMS allowed - what now?

Hi Been dealing directly with the JKBMS Factory and it has taken all day but I finally got hold of some one who has some technical ability. So the latest model B2A8S30P (4S 300 amp ) can be connected in parallel but you need a parallel module. Trying to find out more about it and where to wire...
  • Post in thread: Does the Daly BMS come with wiring harness?

Hi @Will Prowse seems to use these as his go to BMS and he has never had a failure. I feel that sometimes people’s expectations are very high for a low end product. Rather choose a product that is in line with your expectations. Regards.
  • Post in thread: LTO cells on Batteryhookup.com

Hi That is the claim for LTO - don to know how to verify that though. Regards
  • Post in thread: Renogy DC DC Charger w/ MPPT

Not quite sure what you mean. All wiring and terminations would be installed and complete prior to driving, I would guess. The manual clearly shows an earth / ground input requirement. The IGN input seems optional but not the ground. This has nothing to do with the alternator but the Renergy system.
  • Post in thread: Good day from down under.

Hi Will seems to like the Daly BMS. Available through AliExpress. Here is a link to the Daly shop https://daly.aliexpress.com/store/group/3S-to-4S-BMS/4165007_513885439.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.100008.10.4afe41f4CEESlP All the categories are listed down the Left Hand side. A common port BMS is not...
  • Post in thread: DC to DC / MPPT..Upgrade?? Yes / No?

Hi A really good bcdc with solar input will regulate / combine the inputs to achieve the most “green” energy output. Like you I spend a lot of time in the Ozzie outback and have solar on the roof and the alternator input to charge the battery. Run my fridge / lights / charging off that...

Hi Fish Freak Thanks for this. I have the app ( purchased it off the App Store) but looking for something better. Regards
  • Post in thread: Where to purchase JBD BMS

Hi I think these guys are the manufacturers and shitty web design comes as standard. When you go to buy you have to select either LiFe or LiFePO4 which leads me to believe no one has updated the data sheets. I have used about 10 of these BMS so far, from 4S to 16S and they have all arrived...

Hi Have a look at Will’s testing of the Chargery - I have not watched it so cannot comment. There are some previous threads about the Chargery with lots of discussions about the relays. If you are worried get the bigger relay. Regards

  • Post in thread: True cost of 12v,24v,48v systems

Hi - hoisting the proverbial spanner into the works. In my view I do not think that the traditional thinking still applies. Is a 48V system cheaper? a. Take the cabling between the battery and the inverter - the only place that savings are possible - this must be as short as possible anyway and...
  • Post in thread: New Daly "Smart" BMS w/ Communication. (80-250A)

On the battery I noticed that they recommended that you set the discharge termination be set at 2.5V and the low voltage disconnect at 2.0V - perhaps this is following battery recommendations?
  • Post in thread: BMS Bluetooth range extender

    The new improved version.
  • Post in thread: Chargery BMS now with Low Temp Cutoff

Hi So it seems like China is shutting down now. This is going to be hard on the global economy. Hope every one stays safe.. "hi Richard, we don't come back to work now, so don't evaluate the bluetooth project developing time. if you need a BMS8T as a test, the total price of BMS8T-100 is 80usd,"
  • Post in thread: Failed MPP system

Hi So far I have "owned" about 6. Some I have on sold and others I have parted and sold bits and pieces. Never had a problem so far except for the one I currently have running my shed / pool where I had to replace the fans because I was getting a warning. Runs 24 / 7. When I move the house "off...
