I did it this way: https://pimylifeup.com/raspberry-pi-prometheus/ add a file to systemd and enable it in systemctl

Hmm it looks like your script is coded for V1.22. There has since been a few updates. Could the extra information now in the hex output be interfering with your script function? Well I did some rewirte of the code, you can select different Protocol versions...
  • Post in thread: JK (JiKong) RS485 interface wiring

@Nami Do you have a manual / more informations about the connector. I do have the JK-B2A24S20P and try to get RS485 working. Does the RS485 socekt provied native RS485 or do I always have to use the RS485 Adapter from JKBMS?
  • Post in thread: Monitoring MPP/Clone systems with freeware Pi/Grafana

Did an update, impedance is now working according to V126 protocol description: https://github.com/TheSmartGerman/SolarShed Had to add, another *.prom file and use additional identifiers (BMS_A_imp). I plan to make the BMS name also an argument... so if you use more then one BMS you can all...

I found this: https://diysolarforum.com/threads/jk-jikong-rs485-interface-wiring.35071/post-442064 An the esphome jk bms github shows a direkt wireing of the RS485 -> I'll give try.
  • Post in thread: MPP Solar, stop from utility charging?

Ok, well still learning to unterstand the PIP but my understandig so far is: 1. If I select SBU - it will use solar / battery fist. If the requested power is not sufficiant it will switch to utility (Bypass). But not charging the battery using utiltiy. But if you request e.g. 1000W and solar is...

    I got some informations: https://diysolarforum.com/resources/mppsolar-bms-communication-protocol.206/

    I do have a 5048MGX
  • Post in thread: MPP Solar + BMS communication/control

Well, at the moment I do some testing with SolarShed https://github.com/BarkinSpider/SolarShed, at the moment I'm testing the latest Chargery protocol (1.26). After this I'll give at try with the lib procotol... Do you know this project: https://github.com/jblance/mpp-solar it also supports jkbms

Is ist also possilbe to get the flexi bus bars as a stp file? did't found some yet :(
  • Post in thread: Chargery Fustration

Hello Steve_S, thanks for your fast and details replay. I got it now... I think I'm fine with my settings now. SOC is nice as long your Inverter can handle it... The Settings: Cell Empty Voltage 2.50 2.50 Cell Full Voltage 4.20? 3.65 Are just for the Display. You should ajust them...
  • Post in thread: MPP Solar + BMS communication/control

As I posted just a few postings earlier. 5048MGX does have lib protokol. I checked mppsolar webseite, and the newer models like MGX oder MAX do have extended BMS support. You have to check STEP 5 in LCD Menu: - AGM - User-Defined - Pylontech battery - WECO battery - Soltaro battery - BAK...
  • Post in thread: MPP Solar + BMS communication/control

hey, no it's not working as a bridge. Sry, didn't mentioned it. Well if anyone knows about a (open) lib protocol implementation, this would make the task easier.
  • Post in thread: MPP Solar + BMS communication/control

Yes solarassistant looks great. But you have to pay for... There is a similar project called: https://solaranzeige.de/ It's in German. But never tried it...
  • Post in thread: MPP Solar, stop from utility charging?

Your "problem" is Setting 12 - Voltage 12V This is the nominal voltage for the battery. It have to be lower eg. 10.5V then It will charge with untiltiy until you hit the voltage of step 13 This is my understanding of this settings.
  • Post in thread: Off-grid Solar / Battery monitoring and control freeware

    @BarkingSpider shouldn't it be 64 not 96 ?
  • Post in thread: Off-grid Solar / Battery monitoring and control freeware

Well, I also adopted the Dashboard from Joe. My "problem" is, the numerical numbers are updated fine. But the txt from "myStr" is not shown immediatly. Eg. Currentflow is -10A, but the working mode still shows "Storage". If I check the data "Inspect" -> "Data" the myStr is "Discharge".
  • Post in thread: MPP Solar + BMS communication/control

ok, well just to make this clear. I did't found any informations about the lib protocol so far... This would be the key to do some conversation. In fact I got this from MPPSolar for asking for lib protocol: https://diysolarforum.com/resources/mppsolar-bms-communication-protocol.206/ Are there...
  • Post in thread: Off-grid Solar / Battery monitoring and control freeware

Can anyboy give me a advice for Grafana: My charge/dischgarge protection is not shown properly: I use the panel from joe. So it should show the status. It's configured to show the last "myStr" but it didn't worked yesterday. Is it possible to change color too? Also if it goes from "Release"...

  • Post in thread: Monitoring MPP/Clone systems with freeware Pi/Grafana

@BarkingSpider I forked your projekt and updated it to latest protocol version. spend some afford to make some settings switchable (protocol version / cellcount / device port) Be carefull, a lot of firts in it: - First time I use Pyhton - First time I use with Grafana - First time i use...

  • Post in thread: MPPSolar Transfer time for Bypass to long

Well, I'm not sure what's right. It's not realy stated from which power soure the transfere time to another. In fact Unitlity / Grid is the lowerst priority. Just backup if solar and battery are not sufficiant... How does the "famous" PIPs like 2024MS behave? And discharging the capacitors...
  • Post in thread: Heltec (JK) 200A Smart BMS with 2A Active Balance

I bought this with my BMS. BUT: The Socket doesn't fit in the CAN/RS485 socekt. Only in the GPS Socket  This is the reason I'm asking for a update manual...

  • Post in thread: Some questions about MPP SOLAR PIP-5048MGX

Hello, I'm quite new to the Solar Systems. And now I have some questions, you hopefully can answer quickly. Or can provide some references. I did some research but, still there are still questions... A friend of mine and I'd like to build a Off-Grid System starting with this configuration...
  • Post in thread: Off-grid Solar / Battery monitoring and control freeware

Ok, I got it... This is the line i was looking for: I'm using a different inverter... therefore I have to do some ajustments.
  • Post in thread: MPPSolar Transfer time for Bypass to long

Sure, if I wait for Low Battery Cut Off, it may act different. But if the BMS cut off earlyer I will have a longer transfere time. Well the capacitors will loose voltage instandly, after droping under a sertain threshold the inverter can switch powersource.
