Solar controller PWM to MPPT upgrade - Suggestions?

Looks like a good deal and 80 amp sure leaves room to expand. I worry about these no name Chinese brands. I'm sure even the better brands are manufactured in China but I suspect they have a little better quality control.

Solar controller PWM to MPPT upgrade - Suggestions?

Yeah, I think you're right about the PowMr. Read some more reviews, watched some videos and it is a cheap knockoff of the makeskyblue. I'm looking at a 40amp from HQST. Less in terms of specs but seems a bit better quality and seems to have a phone app. The Epever is about 140 compared to this...

Solar controller PWM to MPPT upgrade - Suggestions?

I'm in the process of changing from a cheap PWM to MPPT solar controller because I would like to make use of my four 100 Watt panels (maybe 6 someday) for a house circuit (panel are on my backyard shed). I was looking at the PowMr M60 because it's about a hundred dollars and provides some room...

Wiring Shed panels to house - off grid

Any suggestions about running the 12/2 from the inverter? It only has posts for the input from the battery. Output is two 3 prong plugs. I suppose I could strip back and extension cord or something. Anything more "elegant" that you're aware of?

Great! Figuring out them amps for the inverter was what was confusing me. Really appreciate it.

    Power Shed/Power House Option

I built a cheap 12 x 8 wooden shed myself. If you size it right, it minimizes cost. TEN T111 engineered primed panels, some 2X4's for studs and roof rafters (space them closely and you can avoid using 2X6). Some shingles and OSB for Roof sheathing and paint. It was actually pretty cheap (around...

Wiring Shed panels to house - off grid

I have a small system: Four 100W panels on my shed roof 12V AGM battery 30Amp MTTP controller 500W pure sine wave inverter What I would like to do is run a buried cable to my sub panel to power some circuits using an automatic transfer switch. Knowing that high voltage, low amperage is the way...
