I wanted to chime back in again and say thank you to everyone who has chimed in on these questions, after many material supply delays we are finally getting ready to install most of this stuff. I'm sure i'll have more questions as i get closer to hooking things up, but i think in the next two...
I apologize for going dark for so long but we were gone for vacation and it took me a while to get the soft/easy start from Micro-Air ordered and installed. In fact, i ordered 2 of them. One for my RV and one for my house. I'm happy to report that with the Easy-Start installed my compressor...
I honestly can't see why this should be necessary...it's only one single GFCI circuit that is having this problem, and only when running from the inverters. I don't think i should be taking my home electrical wiring out of code compliance for these inverters...
So would it be fair to ask that it be added to the wish list? It's pretty handy to know which solar strings is which and differentiating between all the individual and total values
I have been trying to reach tech support for almost 6 weeks, using various contact methods. First issue, my inverters are outputting fluctuating voltages rangine from 105-133 v causing lights to flicker and other wierd things. Second, i think one of my inverters may have a faulty MPPT as it is...
The version of the manual i have said that you don't use the CSC when you are doing split phase 120/180* with only two inverters. It said you only use the CSC when you have more than one inverter outputting 120v on the same phase.
Yep, hindsight and all. I started with a 2 battle born 12v lithiums, then added 3 additional 12v200Ah Ampere time lithiums for extra capacity, and that worked for a trip last summer but i didn't like the physical layout and i had room for 5 more batteries so that's what i ordered as the 48v...
After observing this for several weeks now, i am no longer seeing it drop the solar charge connection entirely. It seems to be functioning as designed.
There is no way for me to separate the NG bond in the sub panel without attaching a separate ground bar. Also, i actually took the cover off my main panel and there is no NG Bond in the main panel. The NG do show continuity in the main panel, thus i suspect that the meter base grounding is...
Ok I used the term sub panel but that is incorrect, as it is currently set up as a main panel, not being fed from the main panel in my house. My configuration is consistent with Will’s in his video here at around the 10:30 mark
My biggest conern is my household usage exceeding the capacity of the inverters either inverting from the solar, battery or pass through from the grid. In other words i want my usage at the hosue to still be seamless. I currently have 200A service at my house, and i don't think i've ever come...
Also, I was confused about your statement because i'm looking in the documentation for the SolarAssistant and don't see any mention of "full USB" and don't see any way in the configuration to connect inverters in more than one USB port at a time...
UNTIL i disconnect and read this message...
Further information:
Unfortunately, i don't think i can leave the inverters on right now. I have connected a small load panel (100A panel but only two 15A circuits) to the two inverters. I have them configured as 2P1 and 2P2 (@180) and the only thing they are running is a stand up freezer...
Want to give an update that signature solar tech support has called me and i have done initial diagnosis on teh inverters and sent many pictures with multi-meter reading at all relevant points in the system. No fixes yet but they are engaged now. If there is any other troubleshooting anyone...
Understood, i appreciate the input and advice. I didn't mean to imply it wasn't welcome, so i apologize if it seemed that way. I guess i'm hoping there is some way to implement WIFI breakers/thermostats/outlets etc that can be turned on or off based on load conditions being monitored by...
Hello there I’m jumping on this thread because I’m having similar issues but I’m using an OrangePi SA. SA was working fine for reading inverter data when I only had two inveters with both of them connected via USB to the Pi. Well I now have a total of 4 inverters (2 in each of the split phases)...
Reviving this thread again as I’m at the point where I need to order components and start strong it all planned out and wired in. Major things that need to be sorted out are the best way to get the capacity of my 48v bank to supplement the 12v power draws. I’m a little disappointed that the...
I'm looking to paint the aluminum frames of the above solar panels black to more clsoely match the roof color (which is black). So i was thinking i could get a scotch brite pad and some acetone to prep the surface a bit and paint the frames with a brush on or spray on Rustoleum Satin. I just...
Well still getting a constant error and loud alarm "61" on the 2p2 inverter. @BenFromSignatureSolar Shouldn't these two inverters communicate with each other so that if the batteries are connected to 2p1, then 2p2 will get the same information and not alarm all the time?
Hello, this is my first real post, so please be gentle :)
I'm upgrading my RV motorhome battery bank from 200Ah (2x100Ah)of BattleBorn Batteries to 1,000 Ah (5x200Ah) Ampere Time Batteries. Because i already have a 3000W Magnum 12v Inverter installed, i want to keep my house system at 12V...
Did you trim around each panel with it, or around the outside border of the whole ~20kw array?
Edit: I posted my question before you posted the picture, but the picture answered my question.
I have 6 EG4 batteries in the 6 slot EG4 battery rack, no bus bar swapping, no communication setup and two EG4 inverters. There is no PV input, no AC input and No ac output set up yet. I only have the batteries mounted in the rack, and the inverters mounted on the wall with cable run from...
