That's exactly what I needed, thank you
  • Post in thread: Charging 240 volts

I stand corrected on the use of EV batteries :-) it's just not something I have experience with yet
  • Post in thread: Moving power between battery Banks

My battery fully charges every day, but my minisplit ac doesn't quite make it till morning so I'm trying to increase my battery capacity
  • Post in thread: Charging 240 volts

I gave up, I won't run that air conditioner until I figure out the ATO inverter someday
  • Post in thread: Rainy day solar array

It is a 48v 1050 ah at 6 hours, lead acid battery, but it fully charges fine with 5 KW of solar panels of solar. I worry that adding the extra will confuse the Sol-Ark scc? Or charge to quickly and shorten the life of the battery. I would like that battery to last 10 years. I have only been...

I am told the soft start does not work on three phase air conditioners, I don't know why.
  • Post in thread: Does the solarc 15 need a neutral?

if I am feeding a 220 volt panel, does the sol-ark care that the neutral on the inverter is not being used? (110v not needed, no neutral wire) the panel is grounded at the panel and does not have a ground wire that runs back to the inverter? Thank you in advance for the help
  • Post in thread: ATO no battery inverter

Using a inverter without a battery is probably a bad idea because I have looked for hours and cannot find any information on it. The manufacturer said I could use a solar charge controller and a battery with it but it would need to be a 200v minimum battery. I like your buffer battery idea but a...
  • Post in thread: Charging 240 volts

I would be more than happy with 20,000 watts.
  • Post in thread: Inverter to run 5 ton AC

I ordered one, thank you for the recommendation
  • Post in thread: Charging batteries in a bank separately

So here's my dilemma, it would be fun to set up a second system in the garage, with parts that have been gathering dust for a while. I already have a 48v 7,000 watt inverter and two Outback charge controllers, and a couple strings of solar panels. and two enormous 24 volt lead acid forklift...
  • Post in thread: Charge rate1,000 amp hour battery

This is probably a dumb question, but I spent 10 grand on this large lead acid forklift 1000 amp hour battery, that has no charge rate specifications. The manufacturer the battery simply says get the charge rate off the vehicle it is installed in, obviously it's not installed in a vehicle...
  • Post in thread: Charging 240 volts

I am thinking approximately a 300 volt battery Bank?
  • Post in thread: Charging 240 volts

What would the best way be to charge five, 40 volt batteries in series?
  • Post in thread: Charging 240 volts

The ato 30kw inverter is designed to be used without a battery but can be used with a battery by running the battery terminals to the PV plus and negative terminals. The input voltage should be 200 to 600vdc. If from the battery or from the PV. I hope that's the information you're asking for
  • Post in thread: Charging 240 volts

Also if I'm using a battery I would need a solar charge controller to charge the battery which is my problem
  • Post in thread: ATO no battery inverter

Can 48 volt batteries in series be charged individually?
  • Post in thread: Inverter to run 5 ton AC

Thank you for all the input everybody, more help than I expected and really appreciated
  • Post in thread: Rainy day solar array

Really great ideas, thank you everybody
  • Post in thread: Inverter to run 5 ton AC

I would like to follow your recommendation and buy this inverter. Do you have a model number for it? Is it a regular inverter or a hybrid inverter?
  • Post in thread: Does the solarc 15 need a neutral?

I am adding to my question- i think there are some 220 circuits where extra power comes back on the natural?
  • Post in thread: Charging batteries in a bank separately

Can I put two 24 volt batteries in series to have 48 volts going to the inverter but charge them separately at 24 volts? The 24 volt batteries are similar but not exactly the same. Thank you in advance for the help.
  • Post in thread: Inverter to run 5 ton AC

I have 98 240 watt panels installed .seven strings of 14 panels, 465 measured open dc volts . I also have the largest Electric forklift battery I could find, but I'm open to other battery suggestions if necessary, I'm trying to decide what the best high voltage charge controller and inverter...
  • Post in thread: Inverter to run 5 ton AC

Have any of you used a high voltage inverter or charge controller that you like?
  • Post in thread: Charging 240 volts

What an interesting idea. If I was more familiar with the parameters of doing such a thing it would probably work
  • Post in thread: Moving power between battery Banks

Thank you again for all the help you guys. Okay, so I've learned from you that going from 24vdc to 120vac and then back to 48vdc is inefficient but not that big of a deal. If I measure the power going into the charger it's 120 vac/ about 10 amps and when I measure the power coming out of the...
  • Post in thread: Inverter to run 5 ton AC

Thanks, sure is helpful seeing what other people have done
  • Post in thread: Charging 240 volts

I can find no one that sells an SCC for more voltage than a 48 volt battery.
  • Post in thread: Inverter to run 5 ton AC

I forgot to mention that it is a 48 volt battery
