Just an update, everything came in today. Battery box, cells and BMS.

I talked to customer service at invertersupply.com an she had a few tests and screenshots she needed for the warranty submission. She was very pleasant to deal with and now we're waiting on word from Victron.

Here you go, I took pictures of waking up my 250 smart bms. First picture is just fresh after hooking it up. not yet woke up. Then I short momentarily these 2 pins. Then I remeasure the voltage afterwards and it's now awake.

I ran into the same problem when I asked about the 310s. There is a lot of hearsay and assumptions but almost no posted user testing most likely because they're relatively new to being widely available. I ended up ordered the new batch 280's from Amy for my project but I did order a set of 310ah...

My 20 280 cells came in last Sunday. They're top balancing now. Also the 310's from Exliporc came in (the same day). I got them charged and top balanced and I'm running the capacity test now. Another couple hours and I'll let you know what my 310 cells tested at.

Just an update, I ordered a new 150|100 for the second half of my solar installation and put it in the place of my 150|85 and it works perfectly on the same panels and same batteries confirming my conclusion it was definitely the solar charge controller.

I believe you can now now. Check out this recent blog post by Victron. I intend on trying it myself and have bought the dongle I just haven't installed it yet. Until now I've always switched back and forth between Split phase and parallel with the MK3...

That's the hard pill to swallow. According to Car and Driver, "Xponent Power plans to charge $10,000 for this solar awning system but initially is offering it for $7500 for those who order by October 30".

I paid $120 per cell and $18.15 shipping per cell at 20 piece. On the same order is 40 extra buss bars at $1.20 each. She also sent me pictures of my cells. And one other picture of the shipping label that I didn't add here.

Yes, do not parallel a series pack. Instead use a 12v light bulb like out of an rv light or car blinker/brake light to drain the higher charged cells down to match the lowers. Just put the bulb on one cell at a time to drain it while watching the voltages on your BMS monitor.

I have tried a few brands like Daly, Overkill, JK and JBD and have stuck with JK BMS. It is a 200 amp capable BMS with 2 amp active balancing. I have many in service right now and have never had a failure. Here is a supplier in the US I've used with good results...

I did, with everything attached I shorted the lead with the little screwdriver you see in the picture.
