ok, the battery charging issue seems to have taken care of itself. I think the units needed time to recognize all the batteries installed.
What about the ground ground-neutral bond? I think because I am running in spit phase and my GN ground is in my panel, I would need to update to the latest...
Replaced 2 6500ex with 2 new 6500ex (under warranty), Build dates are 10 2022, software U1 79 63 and U2 61 12 on both. With 6 eg4 life power batteries in the cabinet. I have the ground-neutral bond in the breaker box. No AC input. 12k of solar
The only issue I am having is I set 2p1 setting 5...
Thank you for all your advice. As time and money permit, I might pick up an EG4 3k(or 2) or that lv6048 as a backup to the backup. I could feed it into to load center with the breaker off until needed right?
and yes I guess the grid is the backup, but it just seems wasteful having all that south texas sun and no way to harvest it. It is cheaper to just wait on replacements than to spend more on extra equipment.
Some more information.... Currently running on grid power, but I have 6 eg4 batteries and 12k of solar just idle. Does having a back make sense or just a waste of money?
I am waiting on the RMA process for my 2 shorted 6500ex. I need some advice on a backup inverter to keep two mini spits working on my battery/solar setup. Thinking of getting Growatt 6k or eg4 6000 (I need spit phase). Any advice or thoughts are much appreciated.
Yes, one made a large bang noise and triped its battery breaker, Came down stairs and turned everything off. Second inverter wouldn't turn back on. When I try to restart them batteries go into error mode within 10 seconds. System had been working great before this
Ben can you help with tech support? I called for tech support 2 weeks ago, sent required pictures 1week ago and latest from yesterday is someone will contact you soon?
I also have been waiting for support. Week 2 on 2 dead 6500ex, but I only spent a little over $21000 with signature solar and I am not an influencer. SS you must do better.
