I think I've seen someone post a link for reasonable raceways somewhere here, anybody have a link? I believe they were 10", but folks were shimming them out 1" with success with the 15k. Has anyone installed a SA w/o using a raceway?
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark not a good company to deal with 12k

    Aren't those made in Taiwan?
  • Post in thread: Building your own 13KW Solar with 48V Lifepo4 1120AH battery backup

For the OP being fairly far north (CT), I would disagree that 1 axis tilt adjustment isn't worthwhile. Having the ability to go from say 60 degrees in the winter to say 20 degrees in the summer can make a significant difference given how low in the sky the sun is in northerly locations...
  • Post in thread: Top balancing power supply question

Another option is to get them all to something around 3.38V-3.4V so they are mostly full and then build the banks and let an active balancer(s) hooked to your system do the final top balancing in their finial configuration. At least this way they aren't sitting around fully charged and...

I've read good things about batterycable USA, are they using the Chinese wire?
  • Post in thread: Planning the (permitted) system upgrade for my house

That amount of consumption seems insane, I think my first order of business would be to drastically reduce that!
  • Post in thread: How does this look? (opinions please) - DIY battery pack inspection and maintenance

Definitely needs rebalancing (consider getting an active balancer?) and you might want to use tined busbars to minimize that corrosion. Liquid tin could also be applied to your existing copper busbars.

What makes me question if it needs to be outside is, killing the disconnect does not disable the inverter or power to the dwelling (assuming the SA is actively working with PV or battery BU), so ER could pull the meter and have the same outcome.
  • Post in thread: Too much VOC for my 12v system?

I agree with the others, sounds like misinformation. Maybe trying to steer you to another product they have?
  • Post in thread: Can Solar DC wiring share conduit with AC power?

If running separate conduits for AC and DC conductors, how far should they be apart if in the same trench (recommended depths for each)?
  • Post in thread: Whats a good 48v battery charger

This to me makes a lot of sense... plus you have a spare inverter for your system in a pinch.

  • Post in thread: Are micro invertors the future of residential installations?

Sunpower 435W panels. As mentioned they have a higher voltage. https://us.sunpower.com/sites/default/files/media-library/data-sheets/sunpower-e-series-commercial-solar-panels-e20-435-com-datasheet-521912-revb_1.pdf
  • Post in thread: Megarevo RxLNA Discussion

I don't think this is the case. They respond to emails and other forms of contact, and they seem eager to take orders (with no mention of delays), but apparently not ship product... Even though they claim to have them in stock and ready to go.
  • Post in thread: Who sells Huayu HYH-10K-NA inverter in the USA? Got this quote from Manufacturer....

Hence me saying unlikely it will be listed!
  • Post in thread: Planning the (permitted) system upgrade for my house

Check the specs first to make sure it can handle that many amps w/o letting the magic smoke out! :ROFLMAO:
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15K All in One Inverter Released.

I have a similar arrangement, although only 100A at the meter. I too have started looking at options to add an external disconnect. Ideally I'd like to add a 200A disconnect should I ever want or need to upgrade to a 200A service, and have no interest in going through the hassle of adding a...
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15K All in One Inverter Released.

Makes sense. And off grid is what I wanted to do with it anyway, but for educational purposes, I did want to know the answer relating to grid tie anyway.
  • Post in thread: Megarevo RxLNA Discussion

Back on the Megarevo topic, has anyone heard anything about the firmware release that was suppose to drop this month? Any news on the 10k release?
  • Post in thread: Compress or not, flexible busbar or not

These wires are pretty flexible. They will do custom for you as well. https://www.batterycablesusa.com/extreme-battery-cable

GSL is selling the rebadged Megarevo inverter.
  • Post in thread: Any honest state side Eve cells Grade A EV resellers?

If $230 for 4 cells, that seems too cheap. If that's $230/cell, that seems too high for that Ah... But I've never priced these cells.
  • Post in thread: Got Busted by Electrical Power Police..Now Need help with Permits

The AI function in GT inverter will disable it once the grid is down either way. Now an hybrid or off-grid inverter OTOH is a real concern if it's somehow able to export to the grid.

  • Post in thread: Megarevo RxLNA Discussion

I don't think they have a touch screen, or will offer one anytime soon, as changing the screen (to either touch or color) would likely require them to redo their UL submissions. More time and money. IDK where they are pulling that info from, possibly coping it from their competitor(s)?
  • Post in thread: Warning when buying EVE LF280K Grade-A cells with new terminal type!

It's hard to imagine a company of this magnitude wouldn't recognize the problem and mitigate it mediately on their end/dime!
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15K All in One Inverter Released.

Interesting discussion. For clarification, yes, I was referring to AC coupled PV input via the GEN port. The reason I ask this is because it will be a while before my DC PV will be installed. But, I do have access to 300W-2000W of AC coupled PV and 15kWh of batteries almost immediately if I...
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15K in Operation--my thoughts on install and communication

Great looking install, and TY for your detailed thoughts! I agree with you about your concerns with having you info given to China. It's my understanding that SA is actively working on bringing this inhouse domestically. Hopefully this happens within the next year. I'm pleasantly impressed...
  • Post in thread: Megarevo RxLNA Discussion

Unless I mis-entered the specs wrong, I got max Voc of 94V at 4F, or around 470V for 5. Still cutting kind of close either way, but if I'm right, it's still under max capacity. And yes well over 3k/tracker, but I guess I fail to completely understand how over paneling a tracker can cause harm...
  • Post in thread: The Newest Specification Sheets of EVE Cells

Based on from what I've read into their specs, they are not recommending a truly rigid fixture, unless testing for failure.
