I believe about 70 Ah.
I'm currently charging the weak cell to match the voltage of the others. Then I'll cycle some more and monitor to see if it stays closer.
interesting. i think that would work fine. frustrating that the same exact thing could be accomplished at the inverter with a simple feature to disable ac outputs at a given battery voltage (without shutting off).
I think even gaining Bluetooth monitoring functionality would be worth the hassle of a new bms. Just because the cells are used and I'd like to see what they're doing individually too
One thing I found confusing is how all the balance leads route into the plug itself. There was kind of enough of a pattern that I could guess which side B0 should be, and which was B8, but they also were not exactly in precise order. And then trusting that the diagram on the BMS itself was...
Actually I found what appears to be an identical panel with different branding:

However I cant seem to find one...
Well then I guess it was an imagined problem all along. In this case I don't need to set any additional parameters, I can safely discharge to the inverter LVC without interfering with the charging functionalities at all.
I'll have to check that this does in fact work if I ever receive a...
yes, i was definitely going to avoid the 2x 24V situation and just slap a 48V bigbattery/gyll or DIY in parallel. I've had enough of series connections to want to add anymore...
should i just get one of these crappy chinese things to charge them individually?

also speaking of this, I just learned about Victron's battery balancer, but I guess there is only a 12V version.
The other solution I thought of was to remove the BMS' from my two packs, and add a 16S BMS, in effect joining my two 24V's into a 48V, single BMS battery.
One of my cells is not like the others...
But how do I determine if it's a fault with the BMS or simply a weak cell (actually pouch)?
I did a discharge until BMS cut-off due to cell 1 being at 2.5V. Cells 2-8 were +/- 3mV of 3.260V.
I called Bigbattery support and they had me do a BMS re-set...
Sorry to bump this thread, but I just did the same damn thing with the same exact product.
Before I connected I even took apart the battery case a little to study the balance leads and try to figure out the correct orientation of the plug. Looked online and on the website and even tried to call...
So my inverter has a low voltage disconnect which cuts power to the AC output when battery voltage reaches a setpoint (in my case I have it set to 48.5V).
But my DC/DC converter which I use to power my 12V loads has no such disconnect.
I want to turn off my 12V loads at the same time as my...
interesting, although I don't conveniently have an outlet near my inverter and no free breakers to add one either.
I looked for solid state relays with an AC control and a DC output, but couldnt find any. Wonder why that is? Every other combination I could find; AC/AC, DC/AC & DC/DC , but no...
so i could use one of these and cut the plug and wire it into the relay for switching?

Ok I've been 100% boondocking since I completed my off-grid electrical system. But I just settled into a place longer(ish)-term where I have access to 120V, but only 15 amps. I'm a little confused how to program my inverter to be able to use this extra power, but without tripping the breaker...
Just got a system up and running in my rv with an MPP 3048lv-mk. I'm new to this stuff so I have a few random questions:
I have float set to 54.4, is it normal that there is almost always 1 amp and sometimes even up to 3 amps of charging occurring in float mode? I was under the impression that...
I will try to top balance the cells using my cheap power supply and see if capacity increases.
I had to send back my other battery to BB and it wasn't cheap and the replacement also had a problem, and I was without a battery for a long time, so that will be my last resort....
Hey all, new here, wondering if it is possible to repair my battery rather than purchase a new one. I have a pair of 24V A123 batteries purchased from bigbattery.com and I have one bad cell. On the first and second discharge, BMS tripped with this cell at 2.5V and all the other cells around 3.1...
So I ran my batteries down to the LVD last night in my RV and just went the night without power, no big deal. This morning, not wanting to wait several hours for solar to kick on the system, I turn the generator on. Inverter sees the input, 124V, 62HZ, but its still not charging or outputting...
Well its not *quite* as bad as it sounds. I started with two batteries, one of which had pretty much exactly the same issue as I'm having now, but worse. BMS tripped at 50% SOC due to cell 1 hitting 2.5V while all other cells were at 3.3V. At the time, BB had only a 30 day warranty, and as I was...
The victron unit looks like the best option but for two downsides:
1. cost
2. the maximum disconnect voltage is 48V. I would need to be able to set it a bit higher...especially since my inverter wont accept my generator to charge batteries if they are below 48V
I also dont need all the...
I found one locally that has very similar specs, so I think it should work:

Ok I received one 24V lifepo4 pack back from warranty, the other one I have that didn't get sent in for warranty is at a lower state of charge. They differ in voltage by 0.7V. Prior to putting them in series for my 48V battery bank, I decided to put them in parallel using the same resistor I...
I have an mpp solar 48volt, 3000 watt inverter/charger (3048lv-mk), installed in an RV. It is my first inverter so I don't know what features differ from other models on the market. But in any case, I want to replicate the super user-friendliness of something that most of us experience every...
