    Seplos and Deye reboot loop

First time when I got the SolarAsistant running I wanted all the data from cells and the inverter data in it. So I connected Deye to SA on one converter, and the Seplos v2 on another RS485 converter to SA. The packs went crazy - off-on-off-on, unusable. Later confirmed with Seplos and SA - it is...

Happens sometimes: seems like battery is asleep (Seplos + Deye) but keeps supplying inverter

Where did you get this list? I don't see it in my web interface. I have SUN-8K-SG04LP3, it has zero problems when L2 is 4kW and L1, L3 are 50W both on input (CT side) and output (LOAD). Your unbalance is perfectly normal. I have set 50W minimum load from the grid, and at the moment CT1= +31W...

    Solarman logger login

Maybe I am wrong, but I think the right credentials are admin / serial # of the logger. Mine is offline (again) so I can't test it at the moment.

    How to mount this?

Update: The panels are finally mounted. It was a tricky task to put the rails in the exact position. We started the first row with a string line, then put on the panels and aligned the rails. Then the second, third etc...row. We didn't use the screws provided by the seller (it was only 3 per...

    How to mount this?

Hi, Soon I'll have to install a new roof on the garage, and on top of it goes a new set of 10x 550 Wp panels. The roof is 0.6 mm ribbed steel sheet with 10 mm polyurethane insulation on the bottom side (see pics), 12 degree slope. The solar shop sent me these short rails for mounting with the...

    Solar Assistant graphs freeze up

Good luck installing it on anything except Pi and Orange Pi 3 LTS. I've tried with armbian builds for other SBCs but didn't worked out. I have a 40 core Xeon Gold server with 128G RAM sitting next to it, and can't leverage that because SA won't support VM installation. Mine died at me while...

Need help sourcing Sunsynk / Deye [EU]

I've bought from Alma solar, at the time those where the cheapest panels in EU i could find. Now they are more expensive. I still don't have any performance data as the inverter is still in the box (I'm not home to finish the job). I think my next panels purchase will be from China direct...

Need help sourcing Sunsynk / Deye [EU]

It was cheaper for me. And 8 got my inverter. But it's a pain to communicate with them. I have a feeling that it is a one man show run by a guy who is overworked and stretched in to many directions. I can't tell more about reliability than that the company is in business for a fairly long time.

Need help sourcing Sunsynk / Deye [EU]

Yeah they are, I've received mine on 7th of July (ordered March 15th). But I'm not home at the moment so I forgot to update.

EVE identifies Grade B cells using new marking Method [Reposting from General]

You need proof of purchase. If you didn't buy from them warranty is not even considered. And big players did not play those games. If someone is buying 100k or more cells per any time frame it has no time to play this kind of games. And they'r claims are always accepted and investigated. This...

    MG Chemicals 847 Test

Well, for 10x more you get 100x less :) (This sounds weird without including words money and resistance)

EVE identifies Grade B cells using new marking Method [Reposting from General]

I believe they have records of what is sold and to who. And if you are trying to get replacement for something you didn't bought they'll just ignore you. Big buyers wont do that anyway, when they find a cell that's for return they'll get it reimbursed on next order. I don't see how can you get...

EVE identifies Grade B cells using new marking Method [Reposting from General]

I think EVE should set up a web service where anyone can check they'r cells QR code. You simply enter the code and the page pulls they own test data. That kills the fakes instantly. Similar to the authenticity check some manufacturers have for they products. It can show the basic test report...

    Battery terminal cleaning with scotchbrite

Yes, the oxide forms at the moment fresh aluminium is exposed to oxygen, that's moments after you clean it. But it takes time to form a thicker layer. Aluminium oxide is also incredibly hard - almost diamond hard. You can try measuring first without cleaning, but with busbar mounted, then clean...
