Position of mc4 connector on solar panel

Hi,
Currently fitting my solar panels on shed roof.
The solar panels are sitting 110mm off the roof.
Question is when I am connecting the panels up
Whats the best position for an mc4 connector.

I was thinking of fastening them on the underside of the panel, in the channel.

Any advice greatfully received.

As long as the connectors themselves aren't directly end underneath and exposed to the 'gaps' between two solar panels and
There are no sharp bends in the way you organize the wires, I don't see anything that can go wrong.

There are multiple mounting holes near the centre. Use any free one and zip tie them.

I suggest clips like these to keep the wires tidy and off the roof. They're metal and clip to the underside of the panel frames so they won't break down like plastic zip ties.
